FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 35

We take a look at some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 35. With the new round approaching, we check out what some of the most elite managers have been talking about in the build up to the latest round of Fantasy Premier League.

Looking at what some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 35 are talking about could be highly beneficial to other managers. Whether they discuss expected minutes, potential transfer targets, chip strategy or other key factors, it can all help to provide clarity within our own teams.

Fantasy Football Scout and Fantasy Football Community contributor Louis picked up on an interesting trail of thought this week. Newcastle have a double Gameweek ahead so many could be looking to stock up on their assets.

Although interest will be high, many already own a defensive double up when Newcastle have picked up just one clean sheet in their last 10 matches. Based on this and their huge uptake of scoring form, some managers should be considering the double up in attack. One way to do this could be to save our free transfers this week then use the two free transfers ahead of Gameweek 36 to make the switch.

@FPLUpdates_Tips

Fantasy Football Scout contributor highlighted one of the biggest moments in Gameweek 35 which could have an effect on how we plan moving forward. Brighton played one half of their double Gameweek against Wolves this weekend.

Ahead of the Brighton v Wolves match the line-ups were released and both midfielders Kaoru Mitoma (£5.6m) and Alexis Mac Allister (£5.5m) failed to start the game. Both players featured but picked up one point in FPL. Popular asset and midfielder Solly March (£5.3m) did start the game but also slumped to one point.

One of the biggest returners in the 6-0 Brighton victory was striker Danny Welbeck (£6.5m) who hit 15 points. Another successful asset was midfielder Pascal Groß (£5.4m) who collected 14 points. Brighton have more double Gameweeks in 36 and 37 so it will be interesting to see if any managers take a risk with one of them.

@FPL_Sonaldo

Fantasy Football Scout contributor Andy enjoyed a recent blank. Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins (£7.7m) has been one of the most in-form players in the league over the last 10 matches, returning in seven of them. However, the striker picked up just two points in each of his last two games.

Watkins recent mini-slump could be coming at a great time for FPL managers looking to move him on. He faces Manchester United, Wolves, Spurs, Liverpool and Brighton in his remaining matches. Because of this and the double Gameweeks, many are looking for an alternative option for the run ahead.

@LetsTalk_FPL

Fantasy Football content creator and excellent FPL manager Andy reacted to one of the Brentford goals this week. Brentford managed to snatch a win late on against Nottingham Forest in Gameweek 34. One player who managed to return was striker Ivan Toney (£7.5m).

Similar to Ollie Watkins, Ivan Toney also has some questionable fixtures remaining. He faces Liverpool, West Ham, Spurs and Manchester City in his last four matches. Because of this and the double Gameweeks ahead many will be looking to move him on.
