FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 33

We take a look at some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 33. With the new round approaching, we check out what some of the most elite managers have been talking about in the build up to the latest round of Fantasy Premier League.

Looking at what some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 33 are talking about could be highly beneficial to other managers. Whether they discuss expected minutes, potential transfer targets, chip strategy or other key factors, it can all help to provide clarity within our own teams.

@FFScout

Fantasy Football Scout confirmed the news of another double Gameweek ahead. Brighton will face Arsenal (away) and Newcastle (away). Newcastle will face Leeds (away) and Brighton (home). Fantasy managers will have to start their early planning to attack these fixtures ahead.

Some of the players managers should consider include Brighton defender Pervis Estupinan (£4.8m) and midfielders Solly March (£5.2m), Alexis Mac Allister (£5.5m) and Kaoru Mitoma (£5.6m). From Newcastle assets like defender Kieran Trippier (£6.7m) and striker Alexander Isak (£6.7m) will also be heavily targeted.

@OfficialFPL

Another huge announcement landed this week. The Official Fantasy Premier League released confirmation of another double Gameweek ahead. Double Gameweek 37 will hold doubles for four teams. Brighton will face Southampton (home) and Manchester City (away). Chelsea will play Manchester City (away) and Manchester United (away). Manchester City will face Chelsea (home) and Brighton away). Manchester United will play Bournemouth (away) and Chelsea (home).

Some of the key targets for managers could include:

  • The Brighton players mentioned above.
  • Chelsea wing-backs Ben Chilwell (£5.9m) and Reece James (£5.8m).
  • Manchester City striker Erling Haaland (£12.1m) and midfielders Jack Grealish (£7.2m) and Kevin De Bruyne (£12.1m).
  • Manchester United defender Luke Shaw (£5.1m) and midfielders Marcus Rashford (£7.1m) and Bruno Fernandes (£9.5m).

Fantasy Football Community contributor and experienced FPL manager HM highlighted the performances of several Fulham players this week. One of the standout performances came from budget midfielder Andreas Pereira (£4.4m).

Pereira hit a double-digit return in Gameweek 32. His points consisted of a goal and three bonus. Not only does the midfielder play in an attacking role but he also takes set pieces, including penalties. Interestingly Fulham have a double Gameweek in 34 so some within the community could look to him as a differential.

@FplMode

Fantasy Football Scout contributor Andy touched upon some of the Liverpool performances in Gameweek 32. Many within the community flocked to Liverpool players on their free hits ahead of the deadline. Although the Reds conceded two goals, popular defenders Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.4m) and Andrew Robertson (£6.8m) both picked up an assist.

One of the most important returns came from Liverpool main man Mohamed Salah (£12.9m). The Egyptian bagged a goal to the delight of those that chose to captain him. The biggest performance came from striker Diogo Jota (£8.8m). The Portuguese international collected a huge 13 points due to his goal and bonus.

Liverpool have some fantastic fixtures coming up. Not just this but they also have a double Gameweek in 34. For that reason, managers that used their free hit to bring their assets in will be scrambling for a route to bring them in on a more permanent basis.

@LetsTalk_FPL

Fantasy Football content creator and experienced FPL manager emphasised a pick that many avoided on their free hit this week. Ivan Toney (£7.7m) scored in Gameweek 32 whilst also picking up three bonus points resulting in a nine-point return.

Toney could be a difficult sell based on his form and consistency this season. However with fixtures against big teams like Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs and Manchester City up next, some could be looking for a replacement.
