The FA Cup brought up one or two frustrations for FPL managers this week. Contributing massively towards that frustration is Wolves striker Matheus Cunha (£7m). The penalty taker picked up a red card in his match against Bournemouth.
The above means that, not only will Cunha miss Gameweek 29, but he is also set to miss out until April 5th. Those who brought him in for the run of fixtures, including the Blank Gameweek, will now have to start looking to replace him.

Problems for FPL managers didn’t end with Cunha ahead of Gameweek 28. Another player who could miss out on at least the round ahead, is Crystal Palace striker Jean Philippe Mateta (£7.5m). The Frenchman suffered a head injury, as stated below.
There is no telling how long Mateta will be out of action for, but he is extremely likely to be out for at least Gameweek 28. He also blanks in Gameweek 29, which could be enough to push managers into selling him.

Last week was another tough round for Cole Palmer (£11.1m) owners. A large proportion of the game decided to captain the Chelsea talisman, but he failed to return in his sides 4-0 win against Southampton. This came in the same week that Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah (£13.8m) secured yet another goal contribution.
Palmer has been struggling in terms of output recently – banking just one return in his previous six league matches. With Leicester ahead, selling him could become problematic. The Foxes are the second worst defence in the league when it comes to underlying data, so many could try once more with the armband, if they dare.

It isn’t just strikers FPL managers will have to navigate around for the period ahead. Bournemouth midfielder Dango Ouattara (£5.2m) is another asset who could be a risk moving forward. As well as being subbed for striker Evanilson (£5.6m), who recently returned from injury, he also failed to start a recent Cup match against Wolves.
Ouattara has enjoyed several rounds of starting up front for the Cherries, but his minutes due to the above look uncertain long-term. Bournemouth have fantastic fixtures ahead, including a meeting with Brentford in Blank Gameweek 29, so owners now have a big decision to make.
