It was a big week for one particular asset. Many within the community chose to stock up on Chelsea players ahead of their nice run of fixtures. The Blues had a meeting with the poor Sheffield United this week and dispatched them 2-0.
Amongst the returns was Cole Palmer who had his open play potential questioned for some time. Palmer netted and created an assist to pick up a huge 14 points. The Chelsea backline were all successful as well. Attackers like Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Jackson also collected a return each.
Chelsea still have matches against Wolves, Crystal Palace, Luton and Fulham in the next four matches so it isn’t too late to invest now.

FPL Raptor highlighted something of interest this week. Manchester City seemed unstoppable at one point in the season. However, a tough period of fixtures seems to have hampered their form massively recently – winning just one of their last five matches.
Manchester City do not have a fixture in Blank Gameweek 18, similar to Brentford. But, after that round they come face to face with teams like Everton, Sheffield United, Burnley and Brentford. Because of this it could be worth holding onto or making a plan to bring their assets in over the coming weeks.

Andy returned this week to cover the one major takeaway from the early game in Gameweek 17. Tottenham edged Nottingham Forest 2-0 away from home and popular asset Son Heung-Min failed to contribute towards any of the goals.
The biggest takeaway from the game was the consistency of Tottenham full-back Pedro Porro. Prior to the game Porro created an assist in four of his last five matches. This drove parts of the community to bring him in this week. Although he didn’t create another assist he did keep a clean sheet and claimed two bonus. This helped him to pick up eight points.
Porro could well become part of the template over the coming weeks. He has proved he has multiple routes to points this season and he also has matches against Everton, Brighton, Bournemouth and Brentford in the next six.

Gameweek 17 through up a lot of surprises and the incident below was one of them. Fulham went into their match with Newcastle off the back of two 5-0 wins on the bounce. However, striker Raul Jimenez picked up a red card for his outrageous foul on a Newcastle player. This contributed to their 3-0 loss to Newcastle.
Unfortunately, there were some members of the community that brought in Jimenez. But, he is suspended until December 31st which means he may be an easy sell for buyers.

It has been a stressful season for many FPL managers in regards to goalkeepers. Picking a goalkeeper who then goes onto keep clean sheets has been one of the the community’ biggest challenges this season. However, that could be changing.
Everton Jordan Pickford seems to have turned his woeful start to the FPL season around – securing four returns in his last four matches. Another goalkeeper to come under the spotlight recently is Martin Dubravka. The Newcastle man claimed seven points in Gameweek 17 – securing a rare goalkeeper return for many.
