One moment that affected a large proportion of the FPL community last week occurred in the Wolves v Ipswich game. Algerian full-back Rayan Ait Nouri (£4.9m) not only picked up a yellow card and lost his clean sheet, but he was also sent off after the full-time whistle. This meant he ended the game with minus two points and suspended until December the 26th.
Another, much better moment came from Wolves striker Matheus Cunha (£7.1m). After three weeks of blanking, Cunha picked up a nine-point return for his goal and three bonus, whilst fellow forward Strand Larsen (£5.7m) failed to contribute.
Many will be hoping to sell Raya Ait Nouri ahead of Gameweek 17. But, Cunha has another great opportunity in his match against Leicester to add to his impressive season tally.

The biggest consideration ahead of Gameweek 17 was who to captain. Some decided that they wanted to captain Arsenal’ Bukayo Saka (£10.6m) and some opted for Chelsea’ Cole Palmer (£11.1m), but others gave the armband to fellow midfielder and Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah (£13.4m).
Liverpool’ match against Fulham started badly, after Andy Robertson’ red card saw them one man short. Fulham also scored, which Liverpool reacted to via Salah’ assist. Although going 2-1 down, soon after Liverpool scored an equaliser. Unfortunately for Salah captainers, the Egyptian ended the game with just five points, which was two points more than Saka.
Salah may have flopped, or at least compared to his usual standards. But, he faces Leicester this week, so he goes into the new round as the standout captaincy pick.

Newcastle assets had a hugely successful Gameweek 16 overall. Many within the community felt confident ahead of the match, and it wasn’t surprising to see the Magpies dismantle a poor Leicester defence in their 4-0 victory.
Amongst the returns was full-back Lewis Hall (£4.5m). Hall bagged a huge 15-point haul due to his two assists, clean sheet and three bonus. Popular striker Alexander Isak (£8.7m) collected 11 points for his goal and assist, and midfielder Anthony Gordon (£7.2m) hit six points for his assist.
Newcastle have a lovely fixture against Ipswich this week but then face Aston Villa, Manchester United and Tottenham immediately after. Although seemingly tough on paper, all three sides have been extremely ropey this season defensively.

One other player held the attention of the community through the week in the lead up to the round. Arsenal centre-back Gabriel (£6.1m) missed the last two matches due to injury. This meant some decided sell.
The Brazilian punished sellers this week after starting, keeping a clean sheet and claiming all three bonus. His side drew their fixture against Everton in a 0-0 stalemate, which meant the Gooners collected their third clean sheet in their last five games.
Arsenal come up against an inconsistent Crystal Palace up next, which could be a good opportunity to bag another clean sheet.
