FPL Experts Ahead of Gameweek 17
We take a look at some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 17. With the new Gameweek approaching, we check out what some of the most elite managers have been talking about in the build up whether that be players to invest in, players to avoid and more.
Looking at what some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 17 are talking about could be highly beneficial to other managers. Whether they discuss expected minutes, potential transfer targets, chip strategy or other key factors, it can all help to provide clarity within our own teams.

Marcin returns this week to highlight another big topic. Liverpool assets are very popular in the community at the moment due to the nice run of fixtures they have faced. One of those assets is none other than striker Darwin Nunez (£7.6m).
Nunez has really struggled to pick up significant points recently. It was also frustrating that he didn’t start the game against Sheffield United in Gameweek 15. Owners are starting to get irritated and with Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle in his next four, many could be looking for a replacement already.

Another huge moment in the week was around captaincy. Most managers went into the new round sure that the standout captain was Manchester City striker Erling Haaland against Luton, one of the worst sides in the league.
The above meant that those same managers did not captain Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian managed a massive 13 points against Crystal Palace due to his goal, assist and bonus. However, rumours suggest Haaland will not be in the squad for the Luton game which means managers will be relying on their vice captain, is that Salah though?

It was a tough week for those that owned Arsenal assets. The Gooners had to come up against the best home form team in the league this week, Aston Villa. An early Aston Villa goal meant that popular defensive assets like William Saliba and Gabriel blanked in their third match on the bounce. Arsenal face Brighton, Liverpool and West Ham next up, three very effective goalscoring sides. For that reason, Saliba and Gabriel owners could well be looking to move them on.
Two more popular assets that failed to deliver during the game include Arsenal midfielder Bukayo Saka and Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins.

Another huge moment in Gameweek 16 helped a lot of managers think about their future transfers. Bournemouth went into the game against Manchester United off the back of three wins in their last four league matches. The Cherries came out as 3-0 victors but one player in particular caught the eye of managers.
Dominic Solanke continues his steady FPL season. The striker has picked up at least one return in half of his matches so far this season, including a goal in his most recent match. Solanke has some lovely fixtures against Luton, Nottingham Forest and Fulham next up. Taking into account both his team and his own form, fixtures ahead and issues in the frontline for FPL managers Solanke could well be a top transfer in this week.

Staying with the Bournemouth and Manchester United game the focus shifts to the Reds. There was a lot of hype around the Manchester United assets ahead of the round. Players mentioned above by Andy were all amongst our shortlists.
Manchester United lost the game 3-0 but the worst of it could be yet to come. They face fixtures against Liverpool, West Ham and Manchester United in the next three rounds. This could be new buyers are feeling slightly regretful for their recent purchases.
