Notes
- I had four goals from my three Arsenal players last week. That helped me to another sizeable green arrow in GW24 and I’m now back into the top 100k. My rank would be even healthier had Cole Palmer not assisted twice in the final minutes against Crystal Palace. But, I’m at least getting closer to where I’d like to be in terms of OR for this time of the season.
- My current plan is to navigate the upcoming double and blank gameweeks using free transfers. This is with a view to wildcarding in GW30 or, more likely, GW31.
- I’m already set up for DGW25. I can also field a full XI in GW26 and GW29, while also attacking Bournemouth and Luton’s double in GW28. That is with only two hits across the next five gameweeks.
- I’m not planning on bringing in any other Liverpool or Manchester City players for DGW25 outside of the four I already own. This is mainly in part due to injuries/rotation risk. But, also because it would result in an additional net -8 to transfer them in and out again in the coming gameweeks.
- I may consider adding a Brentford player with my one free transfer, given they double and play in both GW26 and GW29. However, their fixtures between now and GW29 are extremely tough. In addition, transferring in the likes of Sergio Reguilón would mean benching one of Gabriel or William Saliba against Burnley.
- Assuming I roll my free transfer, I will line up with Martin Dúbravka in goal and Gabriel, Saliba and Virgil Van Dijk in defence. Pervis Estupiñan and Charlie Taylor will be on the bench.
- My midfielders for DGW25 will be Phil Foden, Diogo Jota, Richarlison and Bukayo Saka. Joining them is Jota who is favourite to be vice captain.
- Cole Palmer faces Manchester City away this week. I am planning on benching him despite his 10-point return against Crystal Palace.
- Erling Haland joins Dominic Solanke and Ollie Watkins up front.
- Solanke has an extremely favourable double in GW28. However, I believe Haaland is more likely to haul across his two GW25 fixtures. For that reason, I am currently leaning towards putting the triple captaincy on Haaland in DGW25.
