FPL: Buy, Sell and Keep for Gameweek 35

In this article we focus on buy, sell or keep for Gameweek 35. We dive into the Fantasy Football Scout Members area to use the fixture ticker and underlying stats with intention of categorising key assets as a buy, sell or keep for Gameweek 35

Debating which players are a buy, sell or keep for Gameweek 35 could be quite challenging. There are lots of factors to consider this week including the set of fixtures in the round ahead, injuries, and a huge Double Gameweek in 37.

Buy

  • Chelsea – The Blues will be most one of the most popular sides to invest in this week. Not only do Chelsea have a double this week but they also play twice in Gameweek 37. At the back goalkeeper Dorde Petrovic (£4.6m) continues to cement his first team place. Malo Gusto (£4.3m) remains the cheapest and most attacking route into the Chelsea defence. In attack as well as Cole Palmer (£6.2m), Nicolas Jackson (£6.8m) should also be considered after a double-digit haul in Gameweek 33.
  • Manchester City – Manchester City’ schedule is also extremely kind with Nottingham Forest next up and a double in Gameweek 37. In defence the return of Kyle Walker (£5.3m) could be a significant one. He could well be the safest pick from the backline in terms of minutes. In attack both Erling Haaland (£14.2m) and Phil Foden (£8.2m) could be two of the most popular picks to end the season with.
  • Manchester United – On the opposite side of Manchester, the Reds are another great team to invest in. With Burney, Crystal Palace and a Double in Gameweek 37, the Manchester United backline may be more appealing than it once was. The most attacking Manchester United defender is Diogo Dalot (£5.2m), however a cheaper option is centre-back Harry Maguire (£4.2m) who scored recently. Seemingly in fine form is penalty taker Bruno Fernandes (£8.3m) and enabler Alejandro Garnacho (£5m) remains a solid route into the frontline.
  • Newcastle – Two promoted sides and a double Gameweek make Newcastle a top priority for FPL managers, especially considering recent form. Between the sticks is Martin Dubravka (£4.2m). Another cheap option at the back is defender Dan Burn (£4.5m). The standout attacker is striker and penalty Alexander Isak (£8m) but midfielder Anthony Gordon (£6.1m) has also been excellent this season.

Sell

  • Arsenal – Arsenal come into an interesting period. Tottenham lay ahead and combined with the fact they do not have a double Gameweek for the remainder of the season, suggests that it could be worth selling off their assets. After all, their players come in with mid to high price-tags and block moves to other assets with better fixtures.
  • Aston Villa – Chelsea, Brighton and Liverpool in the next three Gameweeks makes Aston Villa a difficult side to buy into. Even the relentless Ollie Watkins (£8.9m) could be on the chopping block. The fact Villa do not have another double Gameweek this season also contributes to that.
  • Bournemouth – Many still own Bournemouth assets from Gameweek 29 but it could be time to sell. The Cherries play Brighton and Arsenal next up and do not have a double in Gameweek 37. So, even the in-form Dominic Solanke (£7.3m) could make way and release budget for moves elsewhere.
  • Liverpool – Similar to Arsenal, Liverpool have a questionable schedule with no doubles for the remainder of the campaign. Rotation has also become a concern recently and ultimately their assets cost a lot of money.

Keep

  • Tottenham – Tottenham are an awkward addition when it comes to buy, sell and keep for Gameweek 35. We could well include them in the buy section due to two double Gameweeks on the horizon. But, some could also be concerned that they face Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City in their final six fixtures. Not only have most of their assets under performed but they also have key defensive injuries to attractive assets.
  • Bournemouth – For the few that still own Brighton assets, now is your time. They have a double Gameweek ahead as well as Bournemouth next so it could be worth holding onto their players.
  • Everton defenders – For managers who own the likes of Jordan Pickford (£4.7m) and Jarrod Brathwaite (£4.3m) then it could be wise to hold for now. The Toffees have had one of the best defences this season in terms of clean sheets and come up against Brentford and Luton next up. It also helps that a lot other defensive assets are underperforming.
  • Wolves – Those who chose to bring in Wolves assets for double Gameweek 34 could well hold onto them for one more week. Luton lay ahead, one of the worsts sides in the league so selling them off now could be a huge mistake.
