FPL: Buy Sell and Keep for Gameweek 21
The round of Fantasy Premier League is over so we look to the next and look at which players are a buy sell and keep for Gameweek 21. Whether that be through injury, team and player form or other factors we advise the potential fate of assets in your teams.
Looking at players who are a buy sell and keep for Gameweek 21 could be extremely beneficial to FPL managers. Knowing what to do with assets in your team can ultimately bring clarity with transfer use, captaincy and chip strategy.
Buy
- Gabriel Jesus (£6.9m) – With fixtures against Tottenham and Wolves in their next three games, the Arsenal frontline could be well worth consideration. Forwards with potential are becoming a popular want from FPL managers and Jesus, with two double-digs hauls in last four games, could well fit that void.
- Crystal Palace – The Eagles have fantastic fixtures ahead, starting with a clash against a woeful Leicester side. Goalkeeper Dean Henderson (£4.5m) should catch the eye, however more attacking defensive options like Daniel Munoz (£4.7m) could be a better route into the backline. A cheap way into the attack is via Ismaila Sarr (£5.9m), but fellow midfielder Eberechi Eze (£6.6m) has had more success recently. Leading the Crystal Palace attack is penalty taker Jean Philippe Mateta (£7.2m).
- Fulham – West Ham, Leicester and Manchester United lay ahead for Fulham. Wing-back Timothy Castagne (£4.2m) is the cheapest route into defence. However, Antonee Robinson (£5m) has already notched up seven assists this season. In attack some could be hesitant around Alex Iwobi (£5.9m), after blanking in all six of his previous games. Recent performances and gametime suggests that striker Raul Jimenez (£5.6m) remains the best option in attack.
- Bruno Fernandes (£8.3m) and Amad Diallo (£5.3m) – Manchester United face Southampton, then good fixtures immediately after. Whilst ropey in defence, their attack could offer more potential, with both penalty taker Fernandes and rising star Diallo being their standout picks.
- Newcastle – The Magpies are in fantastic form and play Wolves, Bournemouth and Southampton next. In defence, the standout seems to be full-back Lewis Hall (£4.9m), with three assists in his previous five games. A cheap route into defence could well be centre-back Sven Botman (£4.4m). In attack, striker Alexander Isak (£9.3m) remains an essential, but midfielder Anthony Gordon (£7.5m) could be another great route into their attack. One offensive budget gem could be Jacob Murphy (£5.1m), who has returned in five of his last six league games.
Sell
- Bukayo Saka (£10.2m) – Saka has been ruled out until March 8th which makes him an immediate sell. The Arsenal man costs too much money to keep, so money from his sale could be spent elsewhere.
- Ollie Watkins (£8.9m) – The Aston Villa striker has returned in just one of his last six matches, which shows just how out of form he is this season. He also faces two very good defences in Everton and Arsenal next.
- Bournemouth – The Cherries have a very tough fixture ahead. They come up against the likes of Chelsea, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest in their next three games. With that in mind, assets like midfielders Antoine Semenyo (£5.6m) and Justin Kluivert (£5.5m) could be up for the chopping block.
- Tottenham – Tottenham have been hugely inconsistent as of late and they face Everton and Arsenal next. Taking into account that and the cost of assets like midfielder Son Heung-Min (£9.8m), James Maddison (£7.6m) and striker Dominic Solanke (£7.5m), selling them as soon as you can, could be a wise move.
- Wolves – If you haven’t already, selling your Wolves assets now is ideal. Both defender Rayan Ait Nouri (£4.8m) and striker Matheus Cunha (£7m) could be hugely limited with clashes against Newcastle, Chelsea and Arsenal in their next three.
Keep
- Brentford – The Bees may face Manchester City and Liverpool in their next two, but they have fantastic long-term fixtures after that. Based on their free scoring ability this season, players like midfielder Bryan Mbeumo (£7.8m) and striker Yoane Wissa (£6.2m) could even return against a ropey Manchester City defence.
- Joao Pedro (£5.7m) – The Brighton man has frustrated as of late. However, has matchups with poor defences like Ipswich and Manchester United coming up could mean potential. He also proved he can still pick up points, by returning in each of his last two games.
- Nicolas Jackson (£8.1m) – Chelsea have been out of sorts and so has their striker. But, with two home matches against Bournemouth and Wolves ahead, selling him could be a mistake. It is also worth noting that Jackson is still producing very strong underlying data. With that in mind, it could be worth keeping him for the next two matches.
- Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.2m) – One poor performance certainly doesn’t make him a sell. The full-back is still one of the most dangerous defenders in league in terms of attacking threat. Monitoring his minutes however, will be vital in the Gameweeks ahead.
- Manchester City – Performances have been improving for Manchester City as of late. The current Champions also come up against poor defences like Brentford and Ipswich ahead. So, players including striker Erling Haaland (£14.8m) and midfielder Phil Foden (£9.2m) should be held.
