FPL: Buy Sell and Keep for Gameweek 10

Last modified date

The 9th round of Fantasy Premier League is over so we look to the next and look at which players are a buy sell and keep for Gameweek 10. Whether that be through injury, team and player form or other factors we advise the potential fate of assets in your teams.

Looking at players who are a buy sell and keep for Gameweek 10 could be extremely beneficial to FPL managers. Knowing what to do with assets in your team can ultimately bring clarity with transfer use, captaincy and chip strategy.

Buy

  • Brentford – The Bees have great fixtures ahead, starting with a clash against Fulham. At the back, goalkeeper Mark Flekken (£4.5m) and centre-back Nathan Pinnock (£4.5m) could have potential. Talisman and penalty taker Bryan Mbeumo (£7.7m) remains an essential due to form in attack. However, forward Yoane Wissa (£5.9m) could be another great way into the efficient frontline.
  • Everton – Sean Dyche’s men remain unbeaten in five matches now and good fixtures combine to make them appealing. The cheapest route into their defence is full-back Vitalii Mykolenko (£4.3m). Spearheading the attack is penalty Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£6m) but his more in-form teammate and midfielder Dwight McNeil (£5.8m) appears to be a better option currently.
  • Fulham – Playing Brentford at home, the Cottagers have several nice clashes ahead. Centre-back Calvin Bassey (£4.5m) is a more affordable option than full-back Antonee Robinson (£4.7m), but the latter has considerable threat. With returns in five of his last six games Raul Jimenez (£5.7m) is the standout in attack but midfielder Emile Smith Rowe (£5.7m) remains a very good pick.
  • Liverpool – For those managers who decided to sell their Liverpool assets ahead of Chelsea and Arsenal, it may be time to bring them back. Centre-back Ibrahima Konate (£5.3m) is the cheapest and most reliable way into an elite defence. But, Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.1m) is still maintaining elite distribution data. Mohamed Salah (£12.7m) is a shoo-in for many but Diogo Jota’s injury could mean more minutes for striker Darwin Nunez (£7.1m).
  • Wolves – Gary O’Neil’s men are coming into a great run of fixtures ahead, starting with a game against Crystal Palace. Flying full-back Rayan Air-Nouri (£4.5m) has netted three times in his last four games so is evidently the better pick at the back. In attack both forwards Jorgen Strand Larsen (£5.5m) and Matheus Cunha (£6.5m) could be great picks. Cunha appears to be in better form than his teammate.

Sell

  • Ollie Watkins (£9.1m) – Whilst Ollie Watkins has been fantastic it could be time for him to make way. Aston Villa come up against Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham in their next four matches. Whilst those fixtures could see him return, they could also limit his haul potential.
  • Lucas Digne (£4.7m) – The Aston Villa full-back is in great form but the fixtures ahead are a real issue for the backline. It’s also concerning that he failed to start a recent Champions League match which suggests the manager could be more open to rotating him.
  • Brighton – The Seagulls have a great schedule after Liverpool and Manchester City. So, if you have the bench depth to keep their assets on the side-lines until then it could be wise. But, if not, facing the two best teams in the league currently is not something FPL managers can gain from.
  • Luis Diaz (£7.9m) – Liverpool may have good fixtures ahead but they have also been starting Cody Gakpo enough that is becoming an issue. The Dutchman is eating into Diaz’ minutes, and when your paying that much for a player, you want them to start every game.
  • Anthony Gordon (£7.2m) – The Newcastle midfielder failed to start the previous game. But, he also faces Arsenal next which could limit his potential. There are also better performing midfielders available.

Keep

  • Arsenal may appear to have tough fixtures ahead, but with key figures returning from injury, it may be wise to stick. Monitoring news on centre-back Gabriel (£6.3m) could be vital for his stay in the side, whilst penalty taker Bukayo Saka (£10m) has proven attacking threat against tougher opposition.
  • Morgan Rogers (5.4m) – The Aston Villa fixtures may be toughening up but from an attacking perspective they could still see potential. Rogers is one of their cheapest and reliable attacking assets. But, he has also been one of the best performing budget midfielders in the game recently.
  • Cole Palmer (£11m) – His recent price rises show Palmer is in popular demand even with tough fixtures ahead. The Chelsea penalty taker has been one of the best performing assets in the game thus far.
  • Eberechi Eze (£6.7m) – After a poor start Eze seems to be turning a corner. His recent return could spark an uptake in confidence. He also faces Wolves next which is too good of an opportunity to miss out on.
  • Erling Haaland (£15.4m) – Haaland has scored just one goal in his last four matches which is a concern. However, the Norwegian remains the obvious captaincy option for the next two games. So, keeping him for now could be the best play.
  • Chris Wood (£6.4m) – If fit and ready for the next match, Wood could be an excellent option. Matches against Newcastle and Arsenal ahead may put managers off. But, West Ham is a great fixture for him this week.
  • Tottenham – Tottenham assets have been frustrating. But, most of their assets are sustaining some great underlying data. A home match against Aston Villa and a meet with Ipswich could still see huge potential for them.
