FPL: Best Dominic Calvert-Lewin Replacements
We continue to plan and look ahead for the upcoming period in Fantasy Premier League. Today we take a look at the best Dominic Calvert-Lewin replacements, with the help of the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area and its tools.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has become one of the most frustrating assets in the game as of late. The Everton striker failed to return in any of his last seven league matches, even with good fixtures. Many within the community have had enough, so here are some replacements for the period.
Matheus Cunha
For those with a little bit of cash in the bank, then upgrading to Mateus Cunha (£6.8m) could be a great switch. The Brazilian has been instrumental for the Wolves frontline recently – bagging four goals and two returns in his last seven league matches.
Wolves sit top of the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker from now until Gameweek 17, and there schedule includes two plum meetings with promoted sides. Cunha goes into that nice run ahead full of confidence, off the back of a 12-point haul for his goal and assist during Gameweek 11.
Danny Welbeck
FPL managers with a spare £0.1m in the bank could even look to Danny Welbeck (£5.9m). Brighton have had a tough start of the season in terms of schedule but their fixtures appear to be softening. In fact, the Seagulls come up against sides including Bournemouth, Southampton and Leicester in their next four games.
Scoring two goals against the likes of Manchester City, Tottenham and Chelsea, Brighton have proven their attacking qualities this season. Welbeck has been key to that form – claiming six goals and two assists in just 11 matches. In addition, his data also backs up his potential, sitting above every other striker in the game bar Erling Haaland for total attempts on goal.
Evanilson
Bournemouth are another side we could look to. The Cherries have been inconsistent this season in regards to results. But, fixtures bring form and with matches against Brighton, Wolves, Tottenham, Ipswich and West Ham ahead, we could see a change in fortune for them.
The focal point in the Bournemouth attack is Evanilson (£5.9m), who seems to be finding his feet. The former Porto star started his new season slow. But, in his last six matches Evanilson produced a return in all but one of them, showing that he is in the midst of good run.
Alexander Isak
Many within the community started the new campaign with Newcastle assets. However, fixtures against Fulham, Manchester City, Brighton, Chelsea and Arsenal were enough to force those same managers into selling up.
Interestingly, the Magpies’ schedule is starting to ease again, starting with matches against West Ham and Crystal Palace in their next two. For FPL managers with plenty of budget to make a big upgrade then penalty taker Alexander Isak (£8.4m) could be another option. The Swedish international picked up a return against Chelsea, Arsenal and Nottingham Forest in their last three matches which is the type of form we want from a Calvert-Lewin replacement.
