FPL: Best Differentials in 23/24
The season is now over so we take a look back and reflect on some of the most significant factors that have affected our season as FPL managers. With that in mind we pick out the top 10 best differentials in 23/24.
Looking at the best differentials in 23/24 could provide plenty of insight moving forward. Differentials are players who have low ownership, and so many look to them when it comes to trying to gain rank or an edge over their rivals.
1. Kai Havertz – 180 Points
Arsenal were impressive yet again this season after battling Manchester City for the title right up until the final day. The Gooners sustained one of the best frontlines in the league and one of their most effective players was Kai Havertz.
Although Havertz completed the campaign with under 11% ownership, it was much lower for the majority of it. The German racked up an impressive 13 goals and 10 assists in just 30 starts for Arsenal. He also managed four 14-point hauls which were his highest returns of the campaign.
2. Jean Philippe Mateta – 165 Points
Crystal Palace were well below standards before Oliver Glasner took over. The Eagles stormed the end of the season to cement a top 10 finish. One of the players Glasner seemed to improve ten-fold was Jean Phillipe Mateta who collected a cool 165 points.
The budget Frenchman became a hero for many during Gameweek 34 where he he picked up 29 points against West Ham and Newcastle. He also claimed a mammoth 20-pointer against Aston Villa on the final day to top off an excellent campaign overall.
3. Declan Rice – 165 Points
FPL managers tend to avoid central midfielders during the season and that’s evident in this case. Arsenal were brilliant during their 23/24 campaign and Declan Rice played a huge role in that. Summer signing Rice matched Mateta on points mostly due to seven goals and nine assists.
4. Rodrigo – 159 Points
Another central midfielder who has remained under 10% ownership this season is Rodrigo. Rodrigo bagged 159 points in 23/24, mostly due to a huge eight goals, 10 assists and a huge 19 bonus points. That tally helped win Manchester City their fourth consecutive Premier League title.
5. Bruno Guimaraes – 153 Points
Newcastle disappointed in their 23/24 campaign following their spout in their Champions League. One player who didn’t disappoint was Bruno Guimaraes who managed 153 points but finished the season with under 3.3% ownership.
