FPL announcement: Wolves vs Man City added to Double Gameweek 36

BREAKING: The Premier League has added the outstanding Wolves vs Man City match to Double Gameweek 36. There will be 12 teams playing twice.

The one remaining previously-postponed match has now been given a date. Wolves vs Man City will now take place in Double Gameweek 36.

Wolves vs Man City (Wednesday 11th May, 20:15)

Therefore the following teams now have a Double Gameweek 36

ARSENAL versus Leeds (H) and Tottenham (a)

ASTON VILLA versus Burnley (a) and Liverpool (H)

CHELSEA versus Wolves (H) and Leeds (a)

EVERTON versus Leicester (a) and Watford (a)

LEEDS versus Arsenal (a) and Chelsea (H)

LEICESTER versus Everton (H) and Norwich (H)

LIVERPOOL versus Tottenham (H) and Aston Villa (a)

MAN CITY versus Newcastle (H) and Wolves (a)

NORWICH versus West Ham (H) and Leicester (a)

TOTTENHAM versus Liverpool (a) and Arsenal (H)

WATFORD versus Crystal Palace (a) and Everton (H)

WOLVES versus Chelsea (a) and Man City (H)

This gives Man City a very strong ending in their quest to stave off the relentless threat of Liverpool. FPL managers may look to double-up on their defence, via Joao Cancelo, Aymeric Laporte or Ruben Dias. Alternatively, it’s about correctly guessing which midfield asset has been told to score next.

Perhaps it’s the expensive but brilliant Kevin De Bruyne. If Riyad Mahrez gets game time, he’s always a strong source of points. Bernardo Silva consistently plays minutes, whilst Phil Foden has out-of-position potential.
