FPL 24/25 Key Player Prices

Last modified date

Official Fantasy Premier League recently launched which means we now have access to all of its features. For that reason, in this article we take a look at the FPL 24/25 key player prices. From the Arsenal backline who impressed last season to the premiums, we cover all of the essentials.

The game has launched and the first thing managers want to do is check the prices and build a team. Instead of scrambling for FPL 24/25 key player prices we overview them here in an attempt to aid you when it comes to building your first drafts.

Arsenal Defence

Arsenal defenders

The Arsenal defence offered plenty of value to FPL managers last season. In fact, amongst all teams the ‘Gooners’ conceded the least goals, kept the most clean sheets and maintained some of the best underlying defensive data in the league.

The above meant that three of the four highest scoring defensive assets last campaign were Arsenal players. Many would have been highly anticipating high price-tags for members of the backline and that is exactly what we got.

The most expensive Arsenal defender is Ben White (£6.5m), both William Saliba and Gabriel come in just £0.5m cheaper at £6m. The cheapest route into defence could well be goalkeeper David Raya who is priced at £5.5m.

Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland

The premium players are vital each and every season. Relying on heavy hitters and their consistency can be a huge contributing factor towards the success of any given managers season. They also help with captaincy, something many will be eyeing up Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah for.

It may come as no surprise that both players finished amongst the top five players in 23/24 for attacking returns. With that in mind many managers were keen to see what price they both came in at and there was arguably shock when their price-tags dropped ahead of the games launch.

Erling Haaland was the first price reveal of the season and he came in at an eye-watering £15m. This produced even more of a reaction within the community when Mohamed Salah’s £12.5m price-tag dropped shortly after. With £2.5m between both players, FPL managers will be surely mulling over which of the two to select for the upcoming season.

Midfielders – ‘The Big Three’

Cole Palmer

Three of the four highest scoring players in the previous season include the ‘big three’. Cole Palmer, Phil Foden and Bukayo Saka all managed 220+ points last season making themselves three of the most anticipated price-tags ahead of the new campaign.

Cole Palmer racked up a jaw-dropping 22 goals and 13 assists in his 23/24 season. That ultimately led to him earning more points than any other player in the game. His dazzling performances forced the biggest price hike in FPL history and so he comes in at a whopping £10.5m for the season ahead.

Arsenal came close to winning the Premier League last time out and a lot of that was due to Bukayo Saka. Similar to Palmer Saka takes penalties for his club and combining that and his form meant he came in at £10m for the season ahead.

23/24’s player of the season Phil Foden prices in cheaper than both players at £9.5m. Although cheaper and without penalty duty Foden registered a huge 19 goals and eight assists last time out.

As well as the three above, other midfielder price-tags that caught the eye include Tottenham’s Son Heung-Min (£10m), Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne (£9.5m), Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes (£8.5m) and Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon (£7.5m).

Budget Backline

The expensive attackers could mean it will be even more important to dig up some budget gems within the game. Thankfully it didn’t take long for FPL managers to locate several of them.

Chelsea could offer up plenty of value this time around. Both of their main goalkeepers Dorde Petrovic and Robert Sanchez are priced at just £4.5m. So, the FPL community will be keen to see who secures their position as number one during pre-season.

The same goes for the Chelsea defenders. Trevoh Chalobah, Levi Colwill and Axel Disasi could all be of interest as they too come in with £4.5m price-tags.

Other potential defensive gems include Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa (4.5m), Brentford’s Mark Flekken (£4.5m), and Brighton’s Lewis Dunk (£4.5m).

Game Breakers

Every season FPL provide the community with several price-tags that really catch the eye. They are usually assets that FPL managers believe could be ‘cheats’ or ‘game breakers’, another words players who could do exceptionally well.

The above comes in the form of Joao Pedro who has been arguably massively under-priced at £5.5m. As well as leading the Brighton frontline and taking penalties Pedro comes in either cheaper or at the same price of most budget strikers. This makes him an easy shoo-in for many and thus becoming a potential ‘game breaker’.

Another player many have given the ‘game breaker’ title to is Christopher Nkunku (£6.5m). The Frenchman was plagued by injuries last season but has massively impressed when featuring. Nkunku although categorised as a midfielder could play in a forward role. All factors combine to make him potential coverage for Cole Palmer.
