Fantasy WSL 2025/26 Gameweek 7 Team Reveal
@Schurrle_FWSL Fantasy WSL 2025/26 Gameweek 7 Team Reveal is here, and with six exciting rounds behind us, managers are starting to spot the trends that can define their season.
In this article, Joe will be sharing his latest team reveal for Gameweek 7, looking at the key players he’s backing, where he sees the biggest opportunities, and the transfers that could make the difference this week.
Team Reveal
After a three week break, the WSL is finally back this weekend! A score of 54 points in gameweek 6 saw me enter the top 100 for the first time this season, and here’s how my team is looking ahead of gameweek 7:

Goalkeepers
Despite no visionary returns in the last two Gameweeks, I’m happy to keep Szemik between the sticks. She should face a lot of shots away at Man City, so has a great chance of making three saves to unlock her visionary bonus.
Defenders
After a nine point return last gameweek, Katie McCabe keeps her place in my defence. Arsenal travel to Leicester this week who have created the least xG so far, so there’s a promising chance of a return for McCabe.
She’s joined by fullbacks from both sides of Manchester, Anna Sandberg and Kerstin Casparij. Both players have great attacking underlying numbers, but I am waiting for press conference news after Sandberg picked up a knock on international duty.
McLoughlin and Sangaré were the heroes of last gameweek, both returning nine points. With tough fixtures this week, they both move to the bench.
Midfielders
Grant was unlucky to not return last week, putting up over 1xGI against Leicester. She picked up an injury in their Subway cup fixture two weeks ago and was pulled out from international duty, so it’s likely I’ll be moving her out this week.
Toone and Caldentey are first and second for points scored this season, so it’s a no-brainer for me to keep both of them, especially with the latter continuing to be a bonus point monster.
Vignola currently starts along side them, but could move to the bench depending on my transfers this week.
Freya Godfrey started her first league game for London City this season last gameweek, so it won’t be long until I’ll be considering her for my starting line-up, but for now she remains on my bench.

Forwards
It feels like every week I’m writing “Bunny Shaw’s record against [insert team] is too good to turn down”. In reality, Bunny Shaw has an incredible record against almost every team in the league, and for that reason she’s remaining my captain with a great fixture at home to struggling West Ham, who have conceded the most goals this season.
Aggie Beever-Jones is another player I’m waiting for press conference news. She limped off the pitch on Tuesday against Australia, but said it was just a dead leg in her post-match interview. If she’s fine for the weekend, London City at Stamford Bridge is a great fixture.
Cathinka Tandberg has been a great asset since I brought her in in gameweek 3. She returns to my starting lineup to face Liverpool, who are yet to pick up a point.
Potential transfers
My planned moves, as long as Beever-Jones is ready to start this weekend, would be Grant and McLoughlin out for Lucia Kendall (5.5m) and Océane Deslandes (6.0m) or Lynn Wilms (6.5m). Kendall won player of the match on her England debut, taking five shots and hitting the post in the process. While I wouldn’t be expecting many attacking returns, her visionary status makes her extremely tempting and the extra money would help with future moves.
Moving to double Aston Villa would also set me up nicely if their postponed Liverpool game is rearranged before the winter break. If Beever-Jones is unavailable, I’ll be likely to keep McLoughlin and instead move Aggie on for a one-week punt, such as Alessia Russo (12.4m).
Best of luck for gameweek 7 everybody!
