Fantasy WSL 2025/26 Gameweek 4 Team Reveal

Last modified date

@Schurrle_FWSL Fantasy WSL 2025/26 Gameweek 4 Team Reveal is here, and with three exciting rounds behind us, managers are starting to spot the trends that can define their season.

In this article, Joe will be sharing his latest team reveal for Gameweek 4, looking at the key players I’m backing, where I see the biggest opportunities, and the transfers that could make the difference this week.

Team Reveal

GW3 was a tricky week for all fantasy players. Bunny Shaw missed a penalty, Arsenal and United played out a goalless draw, and an ankle injury forced Lauren Hemp off after just twenty minutes.

Despite this, I finished the week with an exactly average score of 39. This saw me sit at 1785th in the world, a rank I’m hoping to build on in the coming weeks. Here’s how my team is shaping up for GW4:

Goalkeepers

After a few weeks of goalkeeping woes, I finally had one play a full 90 minutes. Kinga Szemik started strong, making three saves inside the opening quarter of the game and earning three visionary points in the process.

She faces a tough fixture against Chelsea in GW4, but her visionary status means I’m happy to hold her for the foreseeable. That said, I’ll be keeping a close eye on press conference updates, as she was left out of West Ham’s midweek Subway Cup squad.

Defenders

Katie McCabe keeps her place as my premium defender after delivering her first return of the season in GW3. The attacking output hasn’t quite been at the level I was hoping for, but a home clash with Aston Villa looks like a great opportunity for that to change.

Daphne van Domselaar Olislagers rewarded my faith with a thunderous strike at the weekend, picking up eight points and reinforcing her value as an underrated attacking asset.

Anna Sandberg continues to impress with three returns from three games and has held her spot in United’s defence despite Gabby George’s return from injury. Her attacking numbers are standout, with more xG than any other defender in the league so far. At just 4.5m, she’s a no-brainer to keep.

Meanwhile, Pacheco drops to the bench after a string of disappointing weeks from Everton, and she’s joined by Jade Rose, who looks to have lost her starting role. She’ll be one of the players I look to move on soon.

Midfielders

I’ve already made my first transfer of the week, swapping out Hemp for Fujino (8.0m) to avoid a price drop. Fujino made an instant impact in her first start of the season for City, scoring a well-placed strike from the edge of the box. Her underlying stats are promising, and she carries visionary status into GW4.

Both Caldentey and Vignola retain their spots despite blanking in GW3. Vignola’s numbers have remained steady, and she’s still the standout value option under 5.0m. Caldentey continues to be my preferred route into Arsenal’s midfield, with most of their other midfield options still sharing minutes.

Alyssa Thompson (9.5m) was a late addition last week — I took a four-point hit to bring her in and even handed her the armband. The odds favoured a big Chelsea win, and her visionary status looked promising, but she was only introduced at half-time in an unfamiliar left wing-back role and blanked. Despite that, I’m happy to hold her this week, hoping for more minutes in a more advanced position.

Forwards

I’m very pleased with my forward line. Tandberg, who I brought in last week, has looked lively and continues to provide excellent value at just 5.5m. My two premium forwards, Bunny Shaw and Aggie Beever-Jones, rank first and second for xG in the league – so I’m confident the returns will keep coming.

Shaw will take the captain’s armband this week, with a home fixture against London City Lionesses, who have conceded the most goals and xG over the opening three games.

Potential Transfers

I’m content with my starting XI for GW4, but I’m already eyeing future moves. Jade Rose looks like the first one to make way, potentially for a defender from Villa, London City, or Leicester. If there’s bad news on Szemik’s availability, I’ll likely move to Lize Kop (4.5m) as cover and bench the West Ham keeper.

I’d like to end my piece with a little tribute to Matt Beard, the ex-Liverpool, West Ham and Chelsea boss who tragically passed away on the weekend. Matt was a pioneer of English women’s football, and played a huge role in the WSL for well over a decade. His impact on and off the pitch cannot be overstated, and he’s a huge reason as to why women’s football is where it is today. Rest in peace Matt.
