Fantasy WSL 2025/26 Gameweek 2 Team Reveal

The Women’s Super League continues, and with it comes the excitement of Fantasy WSL. In this article, @Schurrle_FWSL shares his Fantasy WSL 2025/26 Gameweek 2 Team Reveal, breaking down his squad, captaincy decision, and the key players he thinks can start the season strongly.

The WSL season kicked off on Friday, and it was a great start for my Aerial Fantasy team. 74 points sees me sat at 109th overall, and here’s how my team looks ahead of gameweek 2:

Goalkeepers

Gameweek 1 was tough between the sticks. Borggrafe missed out due to an “internal club issue,” while Szemik limped off with an ankle injury early in the second half against Tottenham.

I’ll be keeping an eye on press conference updates. If both are ruled out, Lize Kop (£4.5m) could come in after Tottenham impressed defensively at the weekend.

Defenders

Despite blanking against London City, McCabe remains my premium option. Her last eight starts against West Ham have produced either a clean sheet or an attacking return.

Sandberg holds her spot as Manchester United cover, though George’s imminent return does raise concerns over her minutes.

Rose replaces Olislagers with City’s fixtures looking strong, while Pacheco keeps her place after an excellent 11-point haul on Sunday.

Midfielders

Caldentey may not have returned in GW1, but she caught the eye. Last season she scored penalties in both games against West Ham – a trend she’ll be hoping to continue.

Vignola rewarded her backers in style with a 19-point haul on debut, netting a hat-trick at Anfield. Her ownership has soared, and she still qualifies for visionary status this week, which means an extra three points for any return.

Hannah Cain also makes the XI as she faces a Liverpool defence that just shipped four goals to Everton.

Bizet drops to the bench after I lost a 50/50 call with Toone. If my goalkeeper situation stabilises, I plan to move her on for Lauren Hemp (£9.0m).

Forwards

Beth England has an excellent record against Everton, scoring seven WSL goals against them in her career. She starts here with hopes of extending that tally at Goodison Park.

Russo wears the armband for now, but she is likely to make way for Bunny Shaw (£12.5m), who would then take over captaincy duties.

Terland has been outstanding for Manchester United, delivering six goal involvements in just three games. She now faces London City Lionesses, who looked out of their depth on WSL debut, giving her another strong opportunity to return.
