The Top Five
- Erling Haaland – There are some doubts over his fitness going into the new round. However, for now the Norwegian looks set for more points than any other player this week (7.69). Haaland will be hoping to start against a poor Crystal Palace side next up.
- Mohamed Salah – It could be a big round for the Egyptian this week. He faces old rivals Manchester United next up who just conceded three to Bournemouth. Salah sits second for points in Gameweek 17 with 6.38.
- Raheem Sterling – Making a rare appearance in the top five is this man. The Chelsea assets have a brilliant opportunity to bag some points this week. They come up against Sheffield United and Sterling looks set for 5.63 points.
- Kieran Trippier – Newcastle still rank joint first for clean sheets kept this season. Because of that and the fact he has managed seven assists already Trippier ranks fourth with 5.61 points. He faces Fulham in the round ahead.
- Cole Palmer – The fact Sheffield United rank as the worst defence in the league suggests the Chelsea frontline will have a successful week. Another player benefitting from that is Cole Palmer (5.61 points) who takes his sides penalties.
Who else joins the Top 10?
- Son Heung-Min – Son comes up against a Nottingham Forest side who are in a torrid run of form. This could be a great opportunity for Son to get back amongst the returns with 5.60 points.
- Bukayo Saka – Arsenal will be hoping to bounce back after their loss to Aston Villa last week. One player to set benefit from the attack is Bukayo Saka (5.13 points). Saka has huge potential going into the game against Brighton who are yet to keep a single clean sheet this campaign.
- Dominic Solanke – Bournemouth are in a great run of form – winning four of their last five league matches. They look likely to extend that record in the round ahead as they face Luton. Because of that there is no surprise that Solanke makes the top 10 this week (4.91 points).
- Phil Foden – Foden is becoming a reliable asset in terms of minutes lately. The Englishman looks set to start and set to bag 4.83 points against a Crystal Palace side who are shipping a lot of goals.
- Martin Odegaard – Completing the top 10 this week is the Arsenal midfielder (4.78 points). Odegaard has managed to return a huge 17 points in his last three matches so has the recent form to punish a poor Brighton backline.
