Fantasy Premier League Planning for Gameweek 26 and 27

We take a look at Fantasy Premier League planning Gameweek 26 and 27. With the help of the Fantasy Football Scout members area we can utilise its fixture ticker and underlying stats to pick out the best teams and players to target for the Gameweeks ahead.

Fantasy Premier League planning for Gameweek 26 and 27 can be absolutely vital to the success of any given managers season. The early stage of the campaign is one of the most important periods in FPL so being able to target the right teams and players could be key.

Gameweek 26 and 27 Fixtures

Blank Gameweek 26

Chelsea, Luton, Liverpool and Tottenham all have a Blank Gameweek in the round. This means that all four teams do not have a fixture.

Who has got the best fixtures?

Aston Villa, Arsenal, Burnley, Brighton and West Ham all rank in the top five teams with the best fixtures.

Who has got the worst fixtures?

Chelsea, Luton, Liverpool, Tottenham and Nottingham Forest rank in the bottom five teams with the worst fixtures.

Best Teams and Players to Invest in

Aston Villa could be a popular team to invest in over the next two Gameweeks. Although they have key injuries in defence which could mean avoiding them, their attack remains appealing.

The standout option and leading the Aston Villa attack is Ollie Watkins (£8.7m). He faces two lovely fixtures against Nottingham Forest and Luton which could help him extend his brilliant seasonal form.

Two cheap routes into the Aston Villa frontline include midfielders Douglas Luiz (£5.5m) and Leon Bailey (£5.6m). The former takes penalties, is solid for minutes and has also banked 15 points in recent games. The latter picked up a return in four of his last five games showing better consistency.

Arsenal could be another great place to go when looking for potential. The Gooners play Newcastle and Sheffield United ahead which could be a could time to either invest or re-invest in their defensive and offensive assets.

Some may have sold midfielder Bukayo Saka (£9m) recently but he could be one of the best assets for the run ahead. Saka has maintained excellent attacking data recently, takes penalties and has managed two double-digit hauls in his last three matches.

Arsenal have one of the best defences in the league too so it makes sense to either buy one or even two of their defenders. The pick of the bunch is centre-back Gabriel (£5.1m) who has scored three goals in his last four matches. Another centre-back is William Saliba (£5.6m) who also scored in his most recent match.

Other teams with good fixtures who could be worth investing in include Manchester City, Brighton and West Ham.

Should we use a chip?

The only reason FPL managers should be considering the use of a chip in the period ahead is to navigate Blank Gameweek 26. However, although an obstacle, only four teams Blank in the round ahead which should be easily manageable with free transfers and small hits.

Another reason to save the Free Hit chip is the fact there is a much bigger Blank Gameweek approaching in Gameweek 29 and better opportunities after that.
