Fantasy Premier League: Most Popular Transfers for Gameweek 16

The new round of Fantasy Premier League is just around the corner. Many within the community are already making their moves ahead of the new round so with the help of the Official Premier League website we highlight the most popular transfers for Gameweek 16.

Checking out the most popular transfers for Gameweek 16 can be really helpful to fantasy managers. Whether it be due to injuries, bans, player and team form, the transfers other people are making can help bring clarity to our own decisions.

The most popular transfers in

  • Cole Palmer (£5.4m) – Chelsea have a fixture against Everton next up and great fixtures after that. Palmer takes his sides penalties, looks reliable for minutes and scored in his last match. With that in mind there is no surprise Palmer is the most transferred in player this week with 218138 transfers in.
  • Hwang Hee-Chan (£5.7m) – The Wolves attacker sits as the second most bought player this week with 208303 new owners. Hwang has managed an impressive 10 returns so far this season and faces a poor Nottingham Forest defence up next.
  • Anthony Gordon (£6.1m) – Cheap midfielders seem to be the theme of the moment. Gordon is the third most transferred in player this week with 135751 transfers in. The Newcastle midfielder has picked up 11 returns in just 15 matches so far.
  • Jarrod Bowen (£7.6m) – After a mass sale recently due to his knock Bowen is back amongst the top players to buy this week (124436 new owners). Bowen has been very consistent this season and returned in every away game he has featured in. What is interesting is that Bowen plays away this week against Fulham.
  • Trent Alexander-Arnold (£8m) – The Liverpool full-back looks to be back to the form we have seen in recent years. He has banked a two back-to-back double digit returns in the last two but also returned in five of his last six matches. This explains why he is the fifth most bought ahead of the deadline (120269).

The most popular transfers out

  • Bryan Mbeumo (£7.1m) – Mbeumo is the most sold player this week with 605494 managers shipping him out. This is solely due to the recent injury he picked up which which rule him out for weeks as stated by his managed.
  • Nick Pope (£5.5m) – The Newcastle goalkeeper sits second this week with 128884 transfers out. Pope also picked up an injury recently which could rule him out for several months.
  • Matty Cash (£4.9m) – Cash is the third most sold player this week with 103408 managers deciding to get rid. Cash has failed to start the last two matches for his side which could be why many have decided to part ways.
  • Jeremey Doku (£6.7m) His recent 22 point haul in Gameweek 11 pushed many to bring the Manchester City midfielder in. Since then Doku has managed six points in four matches and failed to start in one of them. This could be why Doku has been sold by 97430 managers.
  • Joachim Anderson (£5.1m) – Although starting the season well defensively Crystal Palace have managed just one clean sheet in their last six matches which could explain why 96757 managers have ditched him.
