Matchday 4 is here – and with it comes the first official round of Fantasy. This week brings plenty of excitement, including the season’s first Clássico between Sporting and Porto, as well as a potential double gameweek for Estoril and Santa Clara (depending on whether their second fixture goes ahead). That makes building a balanced squad, one that won’t need major changes every round, more important than ever.

As I mentioned in the last update, having two rotating goalkeepers is key. For this round I’ve chosen Robles (€5.0M), who benefits from the double gameweek and will be my main starter, paired with Sequeira (€4.5M), who has been in outstanding form and looks reliable for the long term.

In defence, I’ve gone with four attacking full-backs and one centre-back. That centre-back is de Haas (€5.0M), Famalicão’s penalty taker, who already has three clean sheets this season. The full-backs are:

  • Dedic (€6.0M) – excellent going forward and facing a manageable opponent.
  • Leonardo Lelo (€5.5M) – strong start with two clean sheets and three assists.
  • Larrazabal (€5.0M) – only one clean sheet so far, but his other two games were against Sporting and Porto.
  • João Mendes (€5.5M) – poor opening rounds, but Vitória SC have the quality to bounce back.

In midfield, I’ve selected three consistent starters:

  • Trincão (€11.5M) – a statistical standout and attacking threat.
  • Froholdt (€6.5M) – arguably the league’s best box-to-box midfielder.
  • Zalazar (€7.5M) – a penalty taker already on the scoresheet this season.

To take advantage of the double gameweek, I’ve also included Begraoui (€5.5M), who has been playing as a striker, and Vinicius Lopes (€6.0M), who has already scored this season and will benefit from the extra fixture.

Up front, I’ve backed two strikers with serious goal potential: Ivanovic (€10.0M), who is already off the mark, and Luis Suárez (€10.5M), with two goals and two assists in just three games.

My final pick is Gustavo Silva (€6.0M), a forward expected to get regular minutes and create plenty of chances.
