Our Fantasy EFL Fantasy top picks for Gameweek 26 can be hugely beneficial for fantasy managers. Knowing who the best players to own in each position and the best teams to select are, could be hugely beneficial for the round ahead.
Goalkeepers – James Trafford
Burnley have been producing jaw-dropping defensive form recently. The Championship side have managed seven clean sheets in their last seven league matches. So, investing in their backline during a double Gameweek could be essential. James Trafford is one of several great picks at the back.
Aynsley Pears
Blackburn have two great fixtures this week from a defensive perspective. This week they come up against the likes of Preston and QPR, which could see a return to form for top shot-stopper Aynsley Pears, who has two good opportunities to keep a clean sheet.
Defenders – Jayden Bogle
Burnley may take the limelight when it comes to defence, but Leeds are also very capable – having kept a clean sheet in their previous three matches. Arguably their standout defender is flying full-back Jayden Bogle, who has bagged three goals and two assists this season.
Ciaron Brown
Oxford have a double too this week. One of the sides they face may be Burnley, but they have failed to score in two of their previous three matches. So, there could be potential in both matches for Ciaran Brown, who has also already amassed 200+ blocks, clearances and tackles this campaign.
Midfielders – Josh Brownhill
Burnley’ recent 5-0 win over Plymouth shows how dangerous they can be against weaker sides. Portsmouth and Oxford lay ahead, so we could see a similar performance to that. Penalty taker Josh Brownhill is not their most explosive asset, but he’s still collected nine goals and four assists thus far.
Dan James
No side have scored more than Leeds’ 53 goals this season, so backing them offensively in a double is advised. Becoming a regular for them is Welshman Dan James, who bagged a goal and an assist in the match prior to his meet with Burnley.
Forwards – Michael Cheek
Bromley come up against two leaky defences next up. For that reason, the round ahead could hold plenty of potential for penalty taker Michal Cheek. Cheek has been short of goals recently, but he has already notched up 13 goals this season, so that drought may not last long.
David Ajiboye
Newport County have been one of the most consistent attacks around, but they have two home matches this week, which could see them have scoring potential. Spearheading the attack is penalty taker Michael Cheek. Cheek has produced over 15 goal contributions this season, so is a regular goal threat.
Teams to Target
- Leeds – Top of the the Championship, and with a double Gameweek ahead, Leeds have become a very good team to rely upon for wins, goals and clean sheets. A home match against Cardiff and a visit to Coventry, could both likely offer even more points for selectors.
- Burnley – The most reliable defence across all three leagues currently, makes Burnley an appealing side, especially in a double Gameweek. Burnley are just three points below Leeds in the table, so motivation will be high this week.
