Fantasy EFL Top Picks for Gameweek 24

Last modified date

In this article we take a look at the Fantasy EFL top picks for Gameweek 24. We bring in our expert and regular Fantasy EFL contributor @FPLEdgeworth to reveal his top picks in each position, and the best teams to target.

Our Fantasy EFL Fantasy top picks for Gameweek 24 can be hugely beneficial for fantasy managers. Knowing who the best players to own in each position and the best teams to select are, could be hugely beneficial for the round ahead.

Goalkeepers – Illan Meslier – Leeds United

Top of the Championship table, Leeds play twice this week, which makes them an appealing team to buy into straight off the bat. With two home matches against Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich, combined with their 14 clean sheets already this season, Meslier is an easy pick in-between the sticks this week.

Lukas Jensen – Millwall

Millwall also play two matches this week, as well as facing both of their opponents at home. This week they clash with Hull and Cardiff, who both sit among the bottom sides in the league. With that in mind Jensen has two good opportunities to pick up points.

Anthony O’Connor – Harrogate Town

21st in the League Harrogate Town may not sound very appealing, but they play twice at home this week. They also have Anthony O’Connor at their disposal. O’Connor is one of the best assets in the game when it comes to producing clearances. So, even when the clean sheet isn’t there for him, he can still produce a return from defensive actions.

Will Aimson – Wigan Athletic

Wigan play Burton and Stevenage in the round ahead, two of the lowest goal scorers thus far this season. This increases their odds of picking up clean sheets. Aimson also offers other routes to points – having produced over 200 blocks, tackles and clearances already this season.

Shea Charles – Sheffield Wednesday

Another team who could hold some interest this week is Sheffield Wednesday. Of their assets it’s Shea Charles who stands out. As well as registering three assists in his previous five matches, Charles can also offer additional points via underlying actions.

Ebou Adams – Derby County

Ebou Adams is quickly becoming a great asset for Fantasy EFL managers. As well as scoring three goals in his previous seven league matches, Adams has also produced a huge eight interceptions in his last three. With a double ahead, against tricky opposition, Adams is very likely to continue to produce a high level of interceptions.

Forwards – Miles Leaburn – Charlton Athletic

Charlton play twice this week too, which is reflective of all of my picks so far. Doublers have two opportunities to return, even if less appealing in single Gameweek, and that is relevant to Miles Leaburn, who has managed four goals and two assists in just his four league matches.

Lyle Taylor – Colchester United

Colchester come up against Bromley and Harrogate next up, which could see Lyle Taylor continue his form. Leading the Colchester attack, Taylor has produced three goals in his previous five matches in all competitions.

Teams to Target

  • QPR – QPR have improved considerably since the start of the campaign – losing just one of their last 10 league matches. This week they play away from home, which could see additional points if successful. They also face Plymouth and Hull who both sit 24th and 23rd respectively, so QPR should have lots of potential.
  • Sheffield United – The Blades will be hoping to improve their form – after winning just one of their recent four league matches. Sheffield United come up against Norwich at home, then a meeting with Swansea, which are two great opportunities to pick up points.
