Fantasy EFL Team Reveal for Gameweek 4

Last modified date

In this article we take a look at @FPLEdgeworth‘s Fantasy EFL team reveal for Gameweek 4. Our expert shares his team, rationale around each pick and discusses the two teams he is backing to win for the fourth round.

Our Fantasy EFL team reveal for Gameweek 4 could be very helpful for fantasy managers. Knowing who our expert picks could be extremely enlightening. It could also bring clarity to some of the decisions we have to make in our own teams.

Team Reveal

Goalkeeper

Grant Smith – Bromley – Smith currently sits as the fifth highest scoring goalkeeper among all three leagues. He has kept two clean sheets in three games matches so far, and with Bromley playing a Crewe side who haven’t scored a goal this season, Smith could have solid potential.

Defenders

Dennis Cirkin – Sunderland – Cirkin has been Sunderland’s highest scoring player this season; this has been helped by three clean sheets, a goal and an assist from full-back. Sunderland face an inconsistent Portsmouth side this week so I believe Cirkin could have the potential to keep a clean sheet, get an attacking return or both.

Jayden Bogle – Leeds United – Bogle has had a relatively good start to the campaign – returning in his last two games. But, it is the eye test that makes him appealing to me, which is the reason why I have picked him over other Leeds defenders. Leeds have also picked up two clean sheets in their last two games, so he could get points at both ends of the pitch.

Midfielders

Daniel Crowley (C) – Notts County – Crowley is the fifth highest scoring player in any position so far this season. In the previous game he scored a huge 18 points, and with arguably just as easy opponents in Swindon this week and Notts County getting back to their scoring best, I can see a repeat.

Alfie Doughty – Luton Town

Doughty is my next midfielder and my so-called ‘safer’ pick. This is because he guarantees points due to his high amount of interceptions – hitting the equivalent to just over five points per game and with playing points; he is guaranteed seven points minimum. Doughty is also on set pieces from wing-back so there is a good chance for him to produce attacking returns.

Kieran Sadlier (VC) – Wycombe Wanderers – Sadlier sits as the second highest scoring player in League One, and with two double-digit hauls in a row, I am expecting him to make it a third this week. Wycombe play a winless Blackpool so he should get a lot of chances. He is also on penalty duty which adds to his overall appeal. Sadlier is my vice captain, so if he does return big, I can make him my captain.

Forwards

Alfie May – Birmingham City – Alfie May is 38.9% owned, and after a double-digit haul last week and three returns in a row, he is back in my team. May is coming up against a struggling Wigan team this week so I think he can continue his early season success with another attacking return.

Teams to Target

Notts County – Notts County have started the season unbeaten. However, it was their last game that was the most impressive, with a 4-1 win against Grimsby. This time around Notts County play against arguably an easier team in Swindon. So, I think we could see a similar performance. They are also away from home so I could bag some extra points.

Sunderland – Sunderland are another team that have started a season with an unbeaten start. What’s even more impressive is that they haven’t conceded a goal yet. Sunderland clash with a very inconsistent Portsmouth side next so I expect them to pick up another win away from home.
