Notes

  • In goal, Sam Walker of Bradford makes my team this week. He has kept three clean sheets in his last five matches and faces a Tranmere side that have struggled for goals, scoring just 27 times in 36 League Two games.
  • My captain is Macaulay Gillesphey of Charlton. He has been one of the most consistent scorers in the last five weeks, delivering 59 points and averaging nearly 12 per game. Against a midtable Wigan side, he has a great chance to continue that form.
  • Another Charlton defender, Lloyd Jones, also makes the cut. While he hasn’t matched Gillesphey’s returns, he has still averaged over nine points per game in the last five. Facing the same Wigan team, he remains a solid option for points.
  • Reading’s Tyler Bindon completes my defence. His team has kept four clean sheets in their last five matches, and this week they play Stevenage, a side that has only managed 34 goals in 36 games. With Reading’s strong defensive record, Bindon is a smart inclusion.
  • In midfield, Barnsley’s Davis Keillor-Dunn is my first pick. While he has been quiet in his last two outings, he delivered back-to-back double-digit hauls before that. Facing his former club Mansfield, this could be the week he returns to form.
  • Next up is Blackpool’s Albie Morgan, a well-rounded midfielder who racks up points in multiple ways. He has averaged over nine points per game in the last five and should continue that trend at home this week.
  • Leading my attack is Richard Kone of Wycombe. His team have a double gameweek, facing both Wrexham and Rotherham. Since returning from injury, he has registered a goal and an assist in two games, and with two matches ahead, he has an excellent chance to add to that tally.
  • Wycombe Wanderers are one of only two teams with a double gameweek, making their players valuable for guaranteed points. While their fixtures aren’t the most exciting, the extra game makes them a practical choice.
  • Rotherham United is the other team doubling this week. Like Wycombe, their two fixtures provide an opportunity for extra points. Their first match against Exeter is particularly promising, and with two games to play, they could outscore single gameweek teams.
