Fantasy EFL Team Reveal for Gameweek 30

Gameplan

This week I’m confident that my team is likely to change multiple times before the deadline, given the incredible options. I was set on 2-3-1 last week until Birmingham City’s Alfie May’s benching, when I switched to 3-2-1. At present, I’m sticking to 2-3-1, with the abundant MID options present.

GOALKEEPER

In goal, Birmingham’s Ryan Allsop has kept four consecutive clean sheets, and although the fixtures against Wycombe and Bolton aren’t ideal, I expect at least one clean sheet and save points. His selection will depend if Wycombe’s talisman, Richard Kone, makes the starting line-up.

DEFENDERS

AFC Wimbledon’s Ryan Johnson stung me in their last DGW, and banked 48 points for captainers. Owned by just 1% and without a blank since GW14, he’s in tremendous form, helping them keep four shutouts in five. Two green FDR fixtures makes him a prime option for captaincy.

Pairing him, Wrexham’s Max Cleworth reached the 200-point club last time out with an 11-point return, and has seven goals (+49) and one assist (+3) in 28 matches, averaging 7,1 points. Although the fixtures, similarly to Allsop, aren’t ideal, I’m still confident we’re looking at 10+ points for the number four.

MIDFIELDERS

Backed by 0.1%, Blackpool’s Albie Morgan has eight goal contributions and 31 interceptions (+62) in 22 appearances, totalling 150 points. He also has three double-digit hauls in his previous five, and faces Stockport (A) and Peterborough (H). Unbeaten in 2025 and in good goalscoring form, I expect their success to continue.

Interceptions magnet [and playing in defence] Sam Gale is proving a revelation on FEFL, with 21 to his name in eight matches, scoring 60 points. Without a blank and 23rd-placed Morecambe (H) and 16th-placed Newport (A), I’m expecting another haul.

Finally, Taylor Allen has 15 goal contributions and 27 interceptions in 32 appearances for League Two leaders Walsall, and with 15th-placed Swindon (H) and 24th-placed Carlisle (A), I can’t see him not scoring big this GW.

Forward

Up top, Matt Stevens has 16 goals (+80) and three assists in 32 for the Dons and is the joint-top EFL scorer. His scoring record, including his goal against the Shrimps in the reverse fixture, suggests he is likely to score in at least one of their upcoming matches. In addition, the defensive performance of both opposing teams has been inconsistent this season.

Club Picks

There are plenty of options available, but most importantly, the remaining doubles frames my thinking going into the final nine regular gameweeks. I’ve only selected the Dons once, and I expect them to extend their unbeaten run to 14. Walsall also look a great option, and combined, I’m confident in 4/4 wins.

Alternate picks

Harrogate’s Anthony O’Connor, Charlton’s Macaulay Gillesphey, Barnsley’s Davis Keillor-Dunn, Doncaster’s Luke Molyneux, Grimsby’s Danny Rose, and Blackpool’s Niall Ennis are also in the running. Talk about selection headache!
