Our Fantasy EFL team reveal for Gameweek 27 could be very helpful for fantasy managers. Knowing who our expert picks could be extremely enlightening. It could also bring clarity to some of the decisions we have to make in our own teams.

Fantasy EFL Team Reveal for Gameweek 27

Goalkeeper

In goal, Sheffield United’s Michael Cooper is a standout option. The number one has kept 16 clean sheets in 28 games, totalling 155 points. The Blades have only shipped eight goals at home in 14, and take on Portsmouth and Middlesbrough – Pompey have the third-worst away record in the division.

Defenders

Charlton’s Lloyd Jones averages eight points per the game – the highest of any player to have played over six matches. He’s also contributed offensively, and two home matches against Stevenage and Peterborough, coupled with their impressive recent home form makes him a shoo-in.

Partnering him and backed by only 0.7%, Sunderland’s Trai Hume has four goal contributions to his name, and has banked 167 points in 29 matches. Two home games against out of sorts Watford and Luton Town suggest defensive and offensive points are likely.

Midfielders

As it stands, backed by 0%, Norwich City’s Emiliano Marcondes is a superb option in the middle of the park. He has eight goal contributions, 20 interceptions, and hasn’t blanked in four games for the Canaries. With 22nd-placed Derby County and 15th-placed PNE at Carrow Road up next in DGW27, I expect a double-digit haul for the number 11.

Partnering him, Bradford City’s Antoni Sarcevic has two goals and six assists in 13, and has banked four goal contributions in his previous two home matches. The Bantams take on 20th-placed Harrogate and 21st-placed Accrington Stanley at University of Bradford Stadium. With 10 wins in 14 in front of their home faithful, I expect their impressive form to continue and record two wins.

Forwards

The standout this week is Josh Sargent of Norwich, who has nine goal contributions in his last eight starts. He’s got three goals in his previous four since returning from injury, and I expect him to score huge points against the Rams and PNE.

Moreover, we all love a new signing don’t we? WBA’s Adam Armstrong could be a great differential pick this week. He has a remarkable goalscoring record in the EFL and faces Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn Rovers at The Hawthorns.

While these might seem like tough fixtures, he’s consistently proven his doubters wrong. Having worked with Mowbray before, scoring 84 goals in 200 appearances under him, I expect Armstrong to score big this weekend. With WBA currently lacking a recognised striker, he’s likely to play both games in full. However, the potential for rotation is a slight concern.

Team Selections

I’m facing a tough decision with so many ideal fixtures this week! As it stands however, I’ve only backed Norwich twice and am yet to back Sunderland, and am confident of 4/4 wins between the sides. A total of 36 points could be in store!

Alternate options

If I do decide to switch formation, Adam Armstrong (F) could be axed. Other options include midfielders Sunderland’s Enzo Le Fee, Sheffield United’s Gustavo Hamer, Bristol City’s Scott Twine and MK Dons’ Alex Gilbey. Far too many decisions!
