Fantasy EFL Team Reveal for Gameweek 12

Last modified date

In this article we take a look at @FPLEdgeworth‘s Fantasy EFL team reveal for Gameweek 12. Our expert shares his team, rationale around each pick and discusses the two teams he is backing to win for the new round.

Our Fantasy EFL team reveal for Gameweek 12 could be very helpful for fantasy managers. Knowing who our expert picks could be extremely enlightening. It could also bring clarity to some of the decisions we have to make in our own teams.

Team Reveal

Goalkeeper

David HarringtonFleetwood Town – The Fleetwood goalkeeper has kept just four clean sheets in 11 games. But, with a double Gameweek this week and facing Newport and Salford, I believe he can add to his total.

Defenders

Paudie O’ConnorLincoln City – Although banking just three clean sheets and 59 clearances, he has also produced two goals and three assists in just 10 games. Taking into account his strong goal threat and possibility of clean sheets, O’Connor takes his place at the back.

Mickey DemetriouCrewe Alexandra – Currently the highest scoring defender in the game, Demetriou didn’t play due to injury on Tuesday. However, news states that he should be back on the weekend. He is Playing Tranmere, a team who struggle to score goals, so should get a clean sheet and also lots of clearances to add to his total, a total that sits at 99.

Midfielders

Lewis Wing (C)Reading – My first midfielder and captain this week is Wing. He’s having a good season, and this is shown by the fact he has managed below five points in just three of his 11 games. As well as that he’s returned in his last four matches – achieving double-digit hauls in two of them. Wing plays Bristol Rovers and Stockport this week so there’s a good chance he can continue his form.

Brendan Sarpong-Wiredu – Fleetwood Town – Sarpong-Wiredu is my second Fleetwood player and is in my team purely for interceptions. So far he has picked up eight or more points in half of his starts, and so for him to get that just once in the double, he would be guaranteed a double-digit return.

Forwards

Louie Barry (VC) – Stockport County – Barry has had a really impressive start to the season, scoring 7 goals in 10 starts. I predict Stockport’s games against Lincoln and Reading to be high scoring, so I think he could get at least 10 points at the minimum.

Nathan Lowe – Walsall – My final player is one who is in incredible form currently, In fact Lowe has returned in each of his last six games. Accrington lay ahead who reside 21st in League Two after a very poor start to the campaign. With that in mind, even with one fixture, it could be a good opportunity for him to sustain his output.

Teams Selections

Fleetwood Town – Although currently in midtable and in poor form, they have two games in hand and have played some difficult teams recently. Winning those two matches would mean sitting in the playoffs. So, motivation will be high and with two easier games this week against Newport and Salford, I think they could win both.

Reading – They too have a double Gameweek. Reading face meetings with Bristol Rovers and Stockport, and after winning four of their last five matches, I think they can definitely pick up at least one win. Doing so would mean a return to the playoff spots.
