Fantasy EFL Team Reveal for Gameweek 11

Last modified date

In this article we take a look at @FPLEdgeworth‘s Fantasy EFL team reveal for Gameweek 11. Our expert shares his team, rationale around each pick and discusses the two teams he is backing to win for the new round.

Our Fantasy EFL team reveal for Gameweek 11 could be very helpful for fantasy managers. Knowing who our expert picks could be extremely enlightening. It could also bring clarity to some of the decisions we have to make in our own teams.

Team Reveal

Goalkeeper

Teddy Sharman-Lowe – Doncaster Rovers – My goalkeeper for this double gameweek will be Sharman-Lowe. In the last three games he has kept two clean sheets, and this week he plays Swindon and Bromley, two teams who are in the bottom seven of the league. In comparison Doncaster sit 2nd, and so with very good fixtures, Sharman-Lowe is the first player in my team this week.

Defenders

Mickey Demetriou – Crewe Alexandra – The highest-scoring player in the game is up next. Demetriou has had an incredible start to the season and has also shown he doesn’t need clean sheets or attacking returns to get points. This was evident in his nine-point return in a 1-1 draw against Doncaster last week. With Salford and Fleetwood ahead, I think this is another week where Demetriou is going to return in a big fashion.

Lucas Pires – Burnley – Pires has been part of a Burnley side who have kept three clean sheets in the last three games. He also displayed an ability to get attacking returns at the start of the season, so it may be only a matter of time before he gets another one. Playing Sheffield Wednesday and Hull this week are good opportunities for him to carry on racking up clean sheets and also increase his attacking return tally.

Midfielders

Luke Molyneux (VC) – Doncaster Rovers – In last week’s team reveal, I mentioned this player might kick back into form, and with two returns in a row, I think he has. Molyneux may not be the highest scoring midfielder anymore, but with struggling Bromley and Swindon ahead this week, it’s a perfect chance for him to sustain his recent form.

Ethon Archer – Cheltenham Town – Archer is a player who has been on my radar recently and even featured in the top picks article last week, and deservingly so. In fact, in the latest round he picked up a huge 16 points. After bagging three returns in the last three games, with two of them being double-digit returns, he’s finally in my team as Cheltenham play Colchester and Bradford, two teams that shouldn’t stop his recent impressive point hauls.

Forwards

Borja Sainz (C) – Norwich City – A player who has picked up 41 points in three games can’t be ignored. Just as impressively, he’s also averaged an attacking return a game with nine returns in nine, including a hattrick. Sainz is my captain this week due to his recent explosive returns, and with Stoke and Preston this week, two sides in the bottom eight of the Championship, his good start to the season shouldn’t stop.

Nathan Lowe – Walsall – Lowe is another player in good form, maybe not as good as the previous player, but nevertheless, Lowe has returned in the last four games for a combined total of 38 points. Grimsby and Carlisle lay ahead next this week, two teams who ranks amongst the top five for conceded goals in League Two. This is a good chance for Lowe to continue his recent form.

Teams Selections

Chesterfield – Chesterfield are my first team selection. Despite having a mediocre start, they have only lost twice, and with Newport and Colchester this week, they will be looking to turn the higher number of draws they have picked up into wins. This is something I think they will be able to do this week.

Walsall – Fresh from an international break, Walsall play Grimsby and Carlisle this week. They should carry on their good start to the season as they currently sit 4th in the league. Knowing they are just two points from top spot could be enough motivation for them this week, so I’m expecting good things from them.
