Fantasy EFL Team Reveal for Gameweek 10

Last modified date

In this article we take a look at @FPLEdgeworth‘s Fantasy EFL team reveal for Gameweek 10. Our expert shares his team, rationale around each pick and discusses the two teams he is backing to win for the new round.

Our Fantasy EFL team reveal for Gameweek 10 could be very helpful for fantasy managers. Knowing who our expert picks could be extremely enlightening. It could also bring clarity to some of the decisions we have to make in our own teams.

Team Reveal

Goalkeeper

Glenn MorrisGillingham – Morris will be my goalkeeper this week, even after a disappointing last two rounds. Gillingham face Accrington, who are currently 23rd in League Two. At home where they have kept three clean sheets and conceded just two goals in five games, I feel that they are going to bounce back with a clean sheet this week.

Defenders

Theo Vassell – Barrow – Vassell is the second highest scoring defender in League Two on 75 points so far. He is currently averaging 7.5 points per game. Barrow play Morecambe this week, who are bottom of League Two. So, this should be another fixture where he can add to his impressive start. As well as producing a massive 14 clearances last week, Vassell has also netted three goals so far this season from centre-back.

Anthony O’Connor – Harrogate Town – O’Connor is someone many managers were picking at the start of the season, but after a couple weeks of struggles, those same people have stopped picking him. However, after an 11-pointer last week and being the first player to reach 100 clearances, he should be someone to reconsider. Harrogate play Newport at home so O’Connor will be returning to my team.

Midfielders

Luke Molyneux – Doncaster Rovers – Molyneux has had an interesting start to the season, managing multiple 15+ point returns but also producing several blanks and even a red card. Although that would put many people off Molyneux, he scored last week on his return from suspension, and I think he will kick back into form. He is one of the best assets in the game, so makes his way into my team.

Callum Maycock – AFC Wimbledon – Maycock is a player that on the eye many people would question as he hasn’t started a game yet in the league. But, after impressing off the bench and in cup competitions, I think as a Wimbledon fan myself, he should finally get the start he deserves. In addition, against Carlisle (22nd in League Two) at home he should have a good chance of returning, and if he doesn’t start, I’ll be going for a different Wimbledon attacker.

Kwame Poku (C) – Peterborough United – Poku is the highest scoring midfielder or attacker available this week, and not just that, he is perfect captaincy material if you’re struggling to select one. Poku has returned on three occasions with 10+ pointers, which is the explosiveness you want when selecting a captain playing Rotherham this week. He should add to his total of six goals and one assist in the round ahead.

Forward

Alassana Jatta (VC) – Notts County – Jatta has struggled with injuries in recent times, but since returning just two weeks ago, he has already scored, and in total has returned in four out of the six games he has played in. Notts County are also involved in the only early 12:30 kick off this week so using the captaincy trick on him could be ideal.

Team Selections

AFC Wimbledon – Wimbledon are my first team selection, and in my opinion are a must pick due to the fact that they are unbeaten at home this season in all competitions. Carlisle (22nd in League Two) come to Plough Lane which should be a comfortable win for Wimbledon.

Bradford City – Bradford are my next team. If you’ve read my other team selection articles, a regular theme is an away team pick, and this is no different. Bradford have had a solid start to their season and play an inconsistent Tranmere next. I can see Bradford winning and brining in some extra away points.
