Team Reveal
Firstly I want to touch on my approach to the first week. I have picked my seven players and have three double-ups, so an all in strategy. I haven’t hedged to play it safer here. In addition, I also want to say here that I still think picks like Charlton defence are very good, but I am just choosing to go against for my team and hope Wycombe can grab a goal.
I am going to try and back some teams who have their first leg at home where the team need to have some kind of advantage going into the second leg.
So for the Goalkeeper spot I have chosen Boot from Chesterfield. He has one of the best fixtures for me. Chesterfield take on a Walsall side who have managed one win in their last 10 fixtures. The home side have lost just one of their last 10. So, I feel like they are worthy of my first double up.
So in defence I will also pick Palmer and back the defensive double up. They are playing better and have the home leg first. So, I’m hoping they will make the most of it by keeping a CS and getting a result.
My second defender will be Notts County’s top FEFL Performer at the back in Platt. In terms of teams I fancy to keep a clean sheet in the first legs, Notts County are right up there. They face a Wimbledon side who don’t concede many, but also don’t score much themselves. Again I am going to back the home side in this fixture and go with the Notts County defender. But, I wouldn’t be surprised if both sides kept a clean sheet in this one.
My third and final defender is Bobby Thomas. Coventry are another home team who I fancy to do well this week. So, I will look to have two of their assets in my team. Thomas seems to have decent defensive action potential as well as a goal threat and Sunderland have failed to score in five of their last six. So, a clean sheet is possible for sure.

Onto the midfield and my second Coventry pick is probably my favourite midfield pick this week. Fresh from grabbing two goals on the final day, Rudoni now comes into my line up for the first leg. As mentioned I fancy the Sky Blues to get a positive result against the Black Cats and I believe Rudoni will be at the heart of it. He is an all-rounder who has many routes to points, so feels like a must have this week.
My second midfielder is Norwood from Stockport. I do fancy this play-off match to be very close over the two matches, so Norwood will be key to Stockport’s hopes. Similar to Rudoni he has many routes to points including penalties. He is the perfect midfielder to choose for this GW and has registered 47 points over his last six matches.
Now finally onto my forward and I complete my Notts County double up by picking Jatta. Now this could be McGoldrick depending on line ups. I want to go all in on my strategy so a second Notts County player in a home leg seems like a good play. Notts County definitely love to attack and excite and score goals. They will want to go into the second leg ahead so their strikers will be key. Jatta has two goals and one assist in his last three and is always a threat when he is on the pitch.
In terms of teams I am picking, Chesterfield and Coventry should be no surprise as I have doubled on assets from both sides. I am just backing these sides to do well and I think in terms of form and fixture they have the best chance to do so.
