Fantasy EFL Gameweek 38 Team Reveal

Not sure how to set up for the round ahead? Don’t worry, we bring in our expert @FPLEdgeworth to share his Fantasy EFL Gameweek 38 Team Reveal

Let’s discover who our expert has picked for each position, his favourite team picks, and who he is going to captain!

Team Reveal

First up between the sticks this week is Sam Tickle of Wigan Athletic. He’s been in top form, keeping four clean sheets in his last five games. That includes shutouts against Wrexham and Leyton Orient. With a double gameweek, he’s straight in.

My captain this week is Christoph Klarer, the first of two Birmingham City defenders in my team. With the league title already wrapped up, rotation will be heavy. But Klarer has started every game since Gameweek 21, so he should keep his place.

Between the Birmingham duo is Jason Kerr, my second Wigan pick. He’s scored 48 points in the last five games. This week he faces Blackpool and Burton, and another haul close to his 9-point-per-game average looks very possible.

Rounding off the defence is Alex Cochrane, the second Birmingham defender. Like Klarer, he’s played every game since Gameweek 21, so rotation shouldn’t be a worry. He faces Stevenage, Mansfield, and Blackpool in a triple gameweek.

Onto midfield. First is Kwame Poku of Peterborough United. He’s been a bit inconsistent, but the numbers speak for themselves — 12 goals and 8 assists in 26 appearances. With a move up a league likely, a return looks due.

Next is Albie Morgan of Blackpool who has hit five or more points in 10 of his last 12 games. With two fixtures this week, a double-digit haul is on the cards. He’s also one of the few midfielders with a double gameweek, so he’s a lock.

Up front is Malik Mothersille. He has 20 goal contributions this season for Peterborough and this week plays two teams who together have conceded 21 goals in their last three games, averaging three goals conceded.

As for teams to target:

  • Birmingham City are the standout. They’re the only side with three games and they’re already champions, so they pick themselves.
  • Wigan Athletic are the form team. They’re unbeaten in five and come into this week with arguably the best fixtures and momentum.
