Fantasy EFL Gameweek 33 Team Reveal

Why has he picked this team and captain?
- My goalkeeper is Ben Amos of Port Vale, who have the best double gameweek fixtures, facing Morecambe and Barrow – teams in the relegation zone and lower midtable. With Vale pushing for the playoffs, he’s a solid pick.
- My captain is another Port Vale player, Connor Hall. He’s been consistent, scoring 45 points in his last five games (averaging nine per game), making him my top choice.
- Next is Sam Lavelle of Carlisle. Despite his team being bottom of the league, he has averaged nearly eight points per game over his last five. With two home matches, he could improve on that.
- Another Carlisle defender, Terrell Thomas, is even more impressive, averaging nine points per game in his last five. He hasn’t scored fewer than five points in a single gameweek for seven matches straight.
- In midfield, my first pick is Ben Whitfield of Barrow, one of the best all-around midfielders this week. His 24 points in the last three games have come from key passes, interceptions, assists, and shots on target, making him reliable.
- Continuing the theme of reliable points, Sam Foley of Barrow is next. He has scored 34 points in his last three games, including 11 interceptions and a goal. Despite tough fixtures, that could work in his favor.
- My lone forward is Jovon Makama of Lincoln City, my only single-gameweek player. He has scored 51 points in his last four games, with three double-digit hauls. He faces Exeter at home, where Lincoln have scored nine goals in their last two matches.
- Port Vale are my first team choice due to their excellent fixtures – Morecambe and Barrow at home. As a playoff side aiming for automatic promotion, they’ll be heavy favourites.
- Carlisle is my other pick, which may seem surprising since they’re bottom of the league. However, they face Bromley and Milton Keynes, who have little to play for, while Carlisle are fighting to stay up. With both games at home, they could spring a surprise.
