Fantasy EFL Gameweek 3 Top Picks

Gameweek 3 of Fantasy EFL is here, and with fresh fixtures on the horizon, it’s the perfect time to target the standout options. In this article, we highlight the Fantasy EFL Gameweek 3 Top Picks – players with strong form, favourable matchups, and the potential to deliver big returns this week.

To do this we brought in regular contributor @FPL_Jack15, he shares the best options in each position for the round ahead.

Goalkeepers

Nathan Trott – Cardiff City

Fantasy EFL Gameweek 3 Top Picks

First up is Nathan Trott of Cardiff City. They open with a home fixture against Rotherham, a side showing poor attacking numbers and missing their main striker, Nombe, who is out for months. This is followed by another favourable match away to Wimbledon, a team that has posed little attacking threat so far. Given the lack of bonus potential among Cardiff’s defenders, covering their defence through Trott looks ideal.

Craig MacGillivray – MK Dons

Fantasy EFL Gameweek 3 Top Picks

Another strong option is Craig MacGillivray of MK Dons. Since Paul Warne took charge, they have tightened up significantly at the back, keeping six consecutive league clean sheets. Their upcoming fixtures – Cheltenham at home and Crawley away – are against sides with limited attacking threat, making MacGillivray a great route into their defence.

Defenders

Carl Piergianni – Stevenage

Carl Piergianni remains one of Fantasy EFL’s most reliable assets. This week, Stevenage host a direct Northampton side before travelling to Port Vale. Piergianni’s defensive bonus contributions give him a very high floor, and he also carries consistent attacking threat alongside strong clean sheet potential.

Jack Sanders – MK Dons

Fantasy EFL Gameweek 3 Top Picks

Jack Sanders offers another route into the MK Dons defence for their two favourable fixtures. His defensive stats are solid, and if the team’s form continues, he has real haul potential.

Midfielders

Davis Keillor-Dunn – Barnsley

Davis Keillor-Dunn has been one of the standout midfielders so far this campaign. Acting as Barnsley’s talisman, he has scored in consecutive games and now faces a home clash with Bolton before an away trip to struggling Peterborough. If his form holds, another double-digit haul could be on the horizon.

Jaze Kabia – Grimsby Town

Fantasy EFL Gameweek 3 Top Picks

Jaze Kabia has caught the attention of many managers. Although classified as a midfielder, he is playing as a number nine, offering excellent out-of-position value. With two strong fixtures ahead, he could fly under the radar, making him a smart differential pick this week.

Forwards

Alfie May – Huddersfield

Alfie May brings experience and goals to the Huddersfield attack. Already on the scoresheet this season, he now faces two favourable matches – away at Blackpool and at home to Doncaster – giving him a strong chance to add to his tally.

Jamie Reid – Stevenage

Fantasy EFL Gameweek 3 Top Picks

Jamie Reid is in red-hot form, with three goals in his first two matches. Stevenage face Northampton at home and Port Vale away, two fixtures in which Reid’s current scoring streak could easily continue.

Teams to Target

MK Dons

Since Paul Warne’s arrival, MK Dons have improved dramatically. Their upcoming matches – Cheltenham at home and Crawley away – look winnable, with the potential for clean sheets and even an away bonus.

Huddersfield

Huddersfield have a strong squad and are in excellent form, winning both of their last two matches. They face two sides they’ll be heavily favoured against, with Blackpool away offering the away bonus and Doncaster at home presenting another opportunity for points.
