Notes

  • In goal, I’ve gone for Roberts. There aren’t many great clean sheet opportunities this week, but I am hoping Mansfield can start to pick up a couple more. He should also have a decent chance at some save points too, a bonus when clean sheets will be limited.
  • In defence, my first pick is Smith. He’s another defender who offers both goal threat and a solid floor from bonus. The fixtures look pretty good, and there’s some clean sheet potential.
  • My other defender is Mitchell from Plymouth. He should play as the central centre back, and I think he will accumulate good bonus across the two away fixtures. He feels the safer route, while Mumba is the higher upside pick playing as the wing back but with limited bonus.
  • In midfield, the first name for me is Sarcevic. He’s a nice all rounder pick, with attacking threat in a high scoring side. His minutes aren’t fully secured, but I think he starts both games given the injuries in their squad. He also takes the armband for me this week.
  • Whittaker joins him as my second midfielder. He’s been playing in that advanced number 10 role and looks to have nailed that spot. He’s on some set pieces too and part of another side that can score a lot of goals.
  • Up top, Tolaj is my first attacker. Plymouth have two away fixtures, but Tolaj is hard to ignore given his form and threat. He’s central to everything they do in attack.
  • The second forward is Roberts. He’s also in great form with back to back good home fixtures. His minutes aren’t the best, but in a week like this where options are limited, I think he’s worth the risk.
  • For my team picks, I’ve gone with Bradford and Tranmere. Bradford feel like the obvious pick, while I’m taking a bit of a chance on Tranmere as the second club. They’re a bit of a bipolar side, so this could change.

Notes

  • My Captain this week is Nathan Smith, who has picked up three double-digit hauls in his last four games. Omari Patrick has the vice captaincy armband. He has managed 20 points in his last three games.
  • In the midfield is Antonio Sarcevic, who has scored nine or more points in all but one of his last five matches.
  • Alongside him is Bradley Ibrahim, he hasn’t picked up less than five points in his previous five games.
  • Tranmere Rovers is my first club pick, as they are coming off an impressive 4-1 away win. I believe they will carry the momentum into this week.
  • My other team pick is Plymouth Argyle, who, although overall are struggling, have won their last away games, and this week play both of their matches away.

Notes

  • Sam walker is in goal up against two decent sides, so expect save points.
  • In defence, I’ve gone with Nathan Smith for his goal threat and clearances numbers.
  • Adedeji Oshilaja partners him for his two decent home fixtures and bonus numbers.
  • Bradley Ibrahim is in midfield for his interceptions and all round play. Antoni Sarcevic plays next to him. He is Bradfords talisman with eight G/A this season.
  • Omari Patrick goes up top, after 10 G/A this season.
  • Lorent Tolaj completes my forward line, with six goals this season and 0.61 xG per 90, which is impressive.
  • Club picks – I’m going for Tranmere as I feel they have decent fixtures and will get at least one win. Bradford are my next pick as they have only lost one game all season and I back them to do well this gameweek.
  • Captaincy is on Nathan Smith

Notes

  • Formation: 2-3-1
  • Captain: Conor McGrandles (LIN)
  • Team Focus: Plymouth Argyle & Tranmere Rovers.
  • Goalkeeper – Conor Hazard (PLY – 0.4%) – Since returning from injury, Hazard has impressed with eight saves and a clean sheet in just two matches. Exeter average 0.92 goals scored per 90, while Mansfield sit at 1.45 GS/90. Both fixtures provide a fair opportunity for returns. I expect Hazard to deliver points similar to Gameweeks 9 and 10.
  • Defenders – Cameron Norman (TRA – 0.1%) & Nathan Smith (TRA – 1.2%) – Yes, I’m doubling up on Tranmere defence. It’s bold, given they have the fourth-worst goals conceded per 90 (1.55) in League Two, and Chesterfield boast the third-highest goals scored per 90 (1.75). However, I’m targeting Accrington – the second-worst attacking side with just 0.64 GS/90. Beyond Omari Patrick, both Norman and Smith rank highest for goal involvements: Norman (1G, 2A) and Smith (two goals).
  • Midfielders – Antoni Sarcevic (BRA – 1.1%), Jamie McDonnell (MAN – 0.6%), Conor McGrandles (LIN – 0.2%) – Antoni Sarcevic has been superb this season with seven goal involvements (4G, 3A) in 11 appearances, averaging 6.5 points per match for the best attacking team in League One. Fixtures against Stevenage and Lincoln – the top two defences – make it tough, but Sarcevic has the quality to break through. Jamie McDonnell will play a key defensive role for Mansfield against Plymouth and Wigan. With 13 interceptions (+26) already this season, he’s a smart pick for consistent returns during a tricky SDGW. Conor McGrandles mirrors that role for Lincoln. He’s produced 16 interceptions (+32) in 10 matches and faces Leyton Orient and Bradford – both attacking sides. I’ve handed him the captain’s armband, hoping for a repeat of his GW9 performance (5 interceptions, +10).
  • Forward – Lorent Tolaj (PLY – 1.1%) – Tolaj is expected to be one of the most popular DGW picks. He’s delivered six goal involvements (5G, 1A) in 11 appearances and has scored 23 points in his last two matches – 15 vs Burton and 8 vs Wigan. With Exeter and Mansfield up next, he’s in prime form to extend that run.
  • Despite Plymouth’s slow start to the season, I’m backing them for returns at both ends of the pitch. Exeter and Mansfield have limited attacking threat, while Tolaj is in excellent form.
  • Tranmere’s fixtures look the most favourable of all the double-gameweek sides, so I’m taking the risk with a double defensive setup. The upside potential feels worth it this week.

Notes

  • Another DGW is here, but this time the appeal of the teams involved is less clear-cut, and we can expect a lot of variance.
  • Mansfield have strong fixtures in the next two, and Roberts in goal looks sharp. He saved a penalty a week too early against Luton, but I’m confident he has more big saves to come.
  • In defence, I’m keeping it simple. Bradley and Smith are the standout picks on paper – reliable for clearances and a consistent aerial threat at set pieces. No need to overthink it.
  • Sarcevic is essential this week. He’s Bradford’s penalty taker and remains a key part of League One’s biggest surprise package. While expected minutes are a slight concern, his ceiling is high, and fading him could be costly. That said, uncertainty around his game time makes me hesitant to hand him the armband.
  • With Ben Woods gone, Sinclair becomes central to Accrington’s plans. Their fixtures are solid, and he’s the standout option to cover their assets. Up front, the choice is straightforward: Patrick and Tolaj are the go-to strikers. Tranmere are scoring freely, and Patrick just edges Tolaj as the captaincy pick for me.
  • Club-wise, it’s a tough call, but Bradford and Tranmere have marginally better fixtures than the rest. Despite Mansfield’s promising schedule, I’m not feeling them this time, so they’re a skip.
