Notes

  • Preston’s goalkeeper is arguably the best in the Championship. He was outstanding in the last match, saving a clear chance from Mehmeti, and will now face Charlton, a newly promoted side, confidence is high.
  • In League One, I like Port Vale’s talisman Hall. They play at home against Northampton, who have scored just seven goals in nine matches and continue to struggle offensively.
  • Lincoln have been the surprise package so far and face Exeter next. Their centre-back stands out, solid in clearances and always a threat in the air.
  • Midfielders have been the main source of points lately, making it tough to choose only three. Bolton’s Duberry looks like a strong option this round, especially playing at home against Peterborough, a team many target.
  • Bannan is in red-hot form and keeps delivering, no matter the opponent.
  • Mehmeti also looks promising this week against QPR. Both teams are wide open defensively, so goals are expected. As a lone striker pick, I like Plymouth’s Tolaj. Wigan are struggling with form, and Tolaj could take advantage.
  • Lincoln and Swindon stand out as top team picks this week.

Notes

  • In goal, I’ve opted for Trott. He feels like the best way into the Cardiff defence this week. Orient have looked good in attack recently, but they’ve been overperforming their underlying stats. Cardiff have already kept six clean sheets this season and should have enough to keep them quiet especially at home.
  • In defence, the first name on my team sheet is Hall. Port Vale have been excellent at the back with four clean sheets in their last six and just 8.70 xG conceded, ranking 23rd in the league. Hall also offers attacking threat, Debrah is an option too, but i will only consider him if he is centrally again due to more bonus potential.
  • Forino joins him from Bolton. Despite only two clean sheets so far, Bolton have conceded the lowest xG in the league, which suggests they’ve been unlucky defensively. They face Peterborough this week, and although Forino doesn’t provide fantastic bonus numbers, he does have some attacking threat alongside strong clean sheet potential. That final defensive slot is still flexible and may change closer to the deadline.
  • In midfield, Colwill is locked. He plays Orient at home, who haven’t been great defensively, he has a strong chance of an attacking return. He’s joined by fan favourite Mehmeti, who has been flying this season with four goals and three assists already. He plays at home to QPR and looks in great form.
  • Up front, I’m doubling up with two forwards again. As the season progresses, the appeal of defenders has reduced, making the upside in midfield and attack much stronger. Plymouth’s striker, Tolaj is in the side, who at home are normally a strong attacking side, and Wigan’s team looks to be weakened with suspensions and injuries. He has the minutes, penalties, and at the heart of everything going forward, giving him massive upside this week.
  • I’m pairing him with Burstow from Bolton. They are another high scoring side, and with a good fixture at home to Peterborough, I prefer Burstow over Cozier-Duberry for better goal threat and hence upside.
  • For club picks, I’ve gone with Swindon and Lincoln. Swindon have a very good fixture away to Newport and hence a good opportunity for the away win bonus. Lincoln are also in good form, facing a poor Exeter side. Bolton are also tempting, but I think there may be more value in saving them for later in the season

Notes

  • My captain this week is a player featuring in my team for the first time this season, Imrân Louza, whilst free scoring.
  • Ollie McBurnie is vice captain, as he is in the early kickoff.
  • Defence sees two of last year’s community favourites in Connor Hall and Mickey Demetriou, who we will be hoping can repeat the high-scoring performances from last season.
  • Moving onto the midfield, we stay with three again this week and three all-rounders, with the previously mentioned captain joined by Barry Bannan, who hasn’t banked less than six points since gameweek three, and also Jordan Davies, who has picked up 36 points in the last three games.
  • Team picks this week are Coventry City, who still haven’t lost this season, and Swindon Town, who have won 70% of their games in the league this season, with both having easier away fixtures.

Notes

  • In goal, I’ve gone for Trott from Cardiff. Cardiff already have six clean sheets this season. They’ve looked solid defensively, apart from the Bradford City match. With a home fixture this week, I feel they’ve got a strong chance of another shutout.
  • My first defender is Hall. Port Vale play at home against Northampton, which looks like a good fixture. There’s a chance for a clean sheet here, and he can also pick up defensive bonus points.
  • Next is Bradley. Lincoln are in excellent form, winning their last three games. They also have a strong home fixture this week. Bradley offers both fixture security and the chance of defensive bonus points.
  • My final defender is Weir. Walsall are flying right now, and Weir can score points in multiple ways. He has already scored from free-kicks, he picks up defensive bonus points, and of course he has clean sheet potential too.
  • In midfield, my first pick is Cozier-Duberry. He’s always dangerous because he has many routes to points. This week he faces Peterborough at home, a fixture where he can definitely return.
  • My second midfielder is Torp. He has a great matchup against Sheffield Wednesday. With Rudoni absent, Torp could be the one to benefit. Like ACD, he also has multiple routes to points, which makes him a strong option.
  • Up front, I’ve selected Drinan. The Swindon striker has been in brilliant form. Seven goals and ten shots on target in his last six matches show his threat. This week he faces Newport, who are conceding an average of two goals per game. Swindon are in form, and I expect Drinan to be heavily involved again.
  • For my team picks, I’ve gone with Swindon first. As mentioned, they are in great form, winning four of their last five. Their opponents Newport are winless in their last eight. I expect Swindon to go there full of confidence and get the job done.
  • My second team is Lincoln. They have three wins in a row and are full of momentum. Exeter, on the other hand, are winless in four. That makes this a great matchup for Lincoln this weekend.

Notes

  • Nathan Trott is in goal again this week as he’s been so reliable this season.
  • I have gone with two at the back, with Sonny Bradley who provides excellent goal threat and Connor Hall who has a decent home fixture with good clearances numbers.
  • The dangerous Amario Cozier-Duberry is a lock alongside Cardiff’s talisman Rubin Colwill. Lastly Imran Louza I will go with this week as he has great route to points.
  • Lorent Tolaj is up top as he’s in great form and has a decent fixture.
  • Lincoln are unbeaten in eight so they’re my first club. Meanwhile, Swindon are away, so I’m going with them against struggling the Newport.
  • Captain is Imran Louza (C).

Notes

  • Formation: 2-3-1
  • Captain: Jordan Davies (FLE)
  • Team Picks: COV (A) & FLE (A)
  • Gameweek 10 has plenty of strong options across every position. Because of that, we should see a lot of variation this week. There will still be some template choices, and I’ve picked a couple myself.
  • In goal, I’ve chosen Sam Walker (BRA – 0.5% selected). The Bantams keeper kept just his second clean sheet of the season in GW9. This week he plays Rotherham, who have the second-worst goals scored record in League One. There is clean sheet potential here, and Walker is also a reliable shot-stopper, often making 3+ saves for an extra +2 points.
  • At the back, I start with Sonny Bradley (LIN – 1.2% selected). He has four clean sheets in nine appearances (+20) and an impressive 71 clearances. Lincoln have only conceded three goals away from home all season. With those numbers, Bradley has every chance of another strong haul.
  • Alongside him is Lewis Shipley (BRW – 0% selected). He only has two clean sheets so far, but his fixture looks appealing. Shrewsbury are struggling in attack, scoring just 0.60 goals per 90 – the second-worst in League Two. Shipley did miss GW9, but he already has three goals (+21) this season. If fit, he offers both clean sheet potential and attacking threat.
  • In midfield, Victor Torp (COV – 15.4% selected) is an obvious pick. He has six goal contributions in just seven appearances (5G, 1A). Coventry top the scoring charts with 2.43 goals per 90, while Sheffield Wednesday concede 1.71 per 90. That combination makes Torp one of the strongest picks of the week.
  • Next is my captain, Jordan Davies (FLE – 0% selected). He is my under-the-radar pick, but the numbers speak for themselves. Davies has four goal involvements (3G, 1A) in his last three games. He has also registered six shots on target in his last four. This week he faces Cheltenham, who have the worst defensive record in League Two with 2.40 goals conceded per 90. It’s the perfect setup for a big return.
  • Completing the midfield is Rubin Colwill (CAR – 11.5% selected). He has been Cardiff’s most dangerous player, with five goal involvements (3G, 2A) in nine matches. Orient have the joint-worst defensive record in League One, conceding 1.80 per 90. Cardiff, meanwhile, average 1.67 goals scored per 90. Everything points to Colwill having another good week.
  • Up front is Aaron Drinan (SWI – 4.1% selected). The Swindon striker is the current top scorer in League Two. He has nine goal contributions (8G, 1A) in ten appearances, including six goals in his last six games. Swindon lead the league with 2.10 goals scored per 90. This week they face Newport, who concede 1.90 goals per 90, the third-worst record in the division. Drinan looks set to deliver again.
  • As usual, I’ve targeted teams with poor defensive records. Coventry and Fleetwood both stand out this week. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see them each return 11 points in GW10.
