Fantasy EFL Best Forwards
In this article we take a look at the Fantasy EFL best forwards. We bring in our expert and regular EFL Fantasy contributor @FPLEdgeworth to pick out five of the best forwards to buy for the 2024/25 EFL Fantasy campaign ahead.
Knowing who the Fantasy EFL best forwards are could be extremely beneficial to managers. Forwards are one of the positions to invest in for the campaign ahead due to the scoring system so picking out the best could give you a massive advantage.
Jack Clarke – Sunderland AFC
Jack Clarke started 39 games last season for his side. The Sunderland attacker scored 15 goals and created four assists. He also averaged 2.59 key passes per 90, which guarantees him an extra point per game. Clarke has also scored three goals in five games during pre-season so far and is also on penalties for a Sunderland team hoping to push up the league.
Georginio Rutter – Leeds United
The Leeds youngster scored six goals but registered a cool 15 assists for his side last season. However, with Summerville leaving for West Ham, Rutter could get similar numbers to Summersville this season, and with two goals and three assists in four pre-season games already, he will be one of the main forces to get Leeds back to the Premier League.
Alfie May – Birmingham City
The League One top goal scorer scored 23 goals and banked one assist with a lower-midtable Charlton side last campaign. But, he has transferred to massive title favourites Birmingham City since, so he could be guaranteed to improve on his numbers, which we have already seen with five goals in four games already in pre-season.
Joe Ironside – Doncaster Rovers
Joe Ironside started 41 games last season so is vital for his side. The Doncaster top goal scorer scored 20 goals as well producing six assists for the playoff semi-finalists. Also, with Doncaster predicted to get promoted, Ironside could improve on his goal tally. Pre-season has also been a good one for Ironside – bagging three goals in just four matches.
Jodi Jones – Notts County
The League Two top assister only scored six goals but produced a massive 24 assists last season, which makes him a top pick. Also, with their top scorer leaving, it will open up an opportunity to take more of a lead role for Jones, which in pre-season we have seen with one goal in three games, and with Notts pushing for the playoffs, Jones should have even more potential.
