Notes

  • Matchday 4 was a strong round for me. I managed to hit 99 points in total. Although it was one point shy of 100, I was still very happy overall.
  • In terms of rank, we can see I climbed up to 1.5k and it was quite the jump from 6k in the previous round.
  • My target remains to make it inside the top 1k, but it could be difficult.
  • There are three major concerns in my team and they are Jordi Alba and Dani Olmo, both have been knocked out in the round of 16 and defender Borna Sosa who plays Brazil next.
  • I have five transfers to resolve those issues but I am in two minds about whether to back long term players or back players I think have the potential to haul in the quarter finals.
  • Safe and longer term options include a Brazil defender and a Brazil midfielder, who have low ceilings but a better chance of progressing.
  • Short term and players that have haul potential include players like Croatia midfielder Ivan Perisic, Morocco defender Achraf Hakimi, Morocco midfielder Hakim Ziyech and England defender Harry Maguire.
  • Firstly I will decide between a safe and an aggressive game plan, once I have made that decision, I can then focus on the transfers I will make.

What should we expect from the quarterfinals? We take a look at that here.
