Expert Differentials for Gameweek 16
In this article we take a look at some FPL expert differentials for Gameweek 16. At the same time @FBLThinker, @FPL_ElStatto, @FplRabbi, @FplShakenbake and @FPLReaction battle it to see who can earn the title ‘Differential King’.
Differentials are players who have low ownership. This means that if those players are successful then they could significantly boost both your rank and mini-league position. This is exactly why differentials are such an important part of the game.
Note: All ownership stats are likely to change.
@FPL_ElStatto
“Enzo Fernandez – 5.1% ownership – Chelsea – £5m – Enzo, seems to have finally settled into the Chelsea side and they are now seeing the rewards, with both assists and goals, and he has a home fixture to Brentford who are awful away from home. Rotation aside I think Enzo can continue his good form again this week”.
@FplRabbi
“Kevin De Bruyne – 5.5% ownership – Manchester City – £9.5m – Getting five shots, one goal and one assist in Man City’s last home game, I think this could be a match for ‘Big Game Kev’. Manchester United aren’t great away from home and I back City to be hyped for this one. Kev could go off here”.
@FplShakenbake
“Strand Larsen – 4.4% ownership – Wolves – £5.6m – five goals and an assist in his last eight appearances (ahead of West Ham on Monday night). Strand Larsen has ticked along nicely under the radar whilst his stroke partner Matheus Cunha has taken the limelight. Hosting Ipswich appears a nice fixture for both of them, but Strand Larsen has the EO advantage and is £1.5m cheaper”.
@FBLThinker
“Kaoru Mitoma – 9.3% ownership – Brighton – £6.6m – playing a Crystal Palace defence which are conceding a lot of goals, he looks to be a good option this Gameweek”.
@FPLReaction
“Son Heung-Min – 5.1% ownership – Tottenham – £9.8m – Tottenham will be desperate for a win after dropping points in all of their last three games. This week they come up against the worst side in the league, Southampton. With that in mind, I think penalty taker Son could get back amongst the returns, as he did in the previous round”.

- @FPL_ElStatto – He chose to back Gabriel Martinelli last week. The Arsenal attacker played just 30 minutes against Fulham, and picked up a yellow card, so slumped to zero points.
- @FplRabbi – Marcus Rashford was his pick in Gameweek 15. Manchester United lost their game to Nottingham Forest 3-2, but Rashford failed to start, managing just one point for his feature.
- @FplShakenbake – He opted for Arsenal’ Martin Odegaard, who failed to add to his sides only goal against Fulham, meaning he ended the game with just two points.
- @FBLThinker – Evanilson of Bournemouth was his selection. Bournemouth edged Ipswich 2-1, but their striker couldn’t contribute. This meant he fell short with just two points.
