Expert Differentials for Gameweek 1

In this article we take a look at some FPL expert differentials for Gameweek 1. At the same time @FBLThinker, @FPL_ElStatto, @FplRabbi, @FplShakenbake and @FPLReaction battle it to see who can earn the title ‘Differential King’.

Differentials are players who have low ownership. This means that if those players are successful then they could significantly boost both your rank and mini-league position. This is exactly why differentials are such an important part of the game.

Note: All ownership stats are likely to change.

@FPL_ElStatto

“Chris Wood – 4.8% – Nottingham Forest – £6m – I’m going for Wood against Bournemouth at home. As well as scoring three goals and bagging one assist in pre-season Wood also plays in a fixture I expect to see goals in”.

@FplRabbi

“Jarrod Bowen – 7.4% – Aston Villa – £7.5m – Aston Villa have lost in GW1 during the last three consecutive seasons, including a 5-0 thrashing to Newcastle last season. I think a rejuvenated West Ham could do them over as well with Bowen being amongst the points”.

@FplShakenbake

“Kaoru Mitoma – 1.8% – Brighton – £6.5m – The flying Japanese winger is back to fitness, and seems to have been overshadowed a little by new-signing Yabkuba Minteh in pre-season. But, I have been encouraged by the reports of his performances, and he’s weighed in with a few assists in his friendly appearances over the summer. We know how great he can be, so I’m going for him against an Everton team that have only won once in pre-season”.

@FBLThinker

“Diogo Jota – 7.1% – Liverpool – £7.5m – Jota is playing up top for Liverpool. He also has a good fixture against newly promoted Ipswich. Goals are expected in the game and wouldn’t be surprised to see Jota involved in them”.

@FPLReaction

“Daichi Kamada – 0.5% – Crystal Palace – £5.5m – Crystal Palace really interest me this week. It feels like whoever Oliver Glasner puts into his starting XI under his management could do well. Kamada seems to have fit into Palace attack very well since joining. And, with two goals already in pre-season I think he could continue his form against Brentford”.
