Switzerland v Hungary
Saturday was a big day in EURO 2024 Fantasy Matchday 1.
Switzerland made a statement in their 3-1 win over Hungary on Saturday.
The standout EURO Fantasy asset was Switzerland wing-back and in-game midfielder Michel Aebischer (€5m). As well as scoring from outside the box Aebischer also created an assist which contributed to his 12-point return.
Switzerland forward Kwadwo Duah (€5.5m) scored the opening goal and picked up six points. The third Swiss goal was converted by striker and substitute Breel Embolo (€6.5m). Switzerland midfielder Remo Freuler (€5.5m) bagged an assist and eventually finished the game with five points.

Hungary midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai (€7m) registered both an assist and five points. He created the opportunity for forward Barnabas Varga (€6m) to score, helping him to six points.
It may also be worth highlighting that Switzerland midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri (€6.5m) played no part in the game due to fitness concerns.

Spain also netted three goals as they beat Croatia 3-0.
Their most influential player was of course midfielder Fabian Ruiz (€6.5m). Ruiz scooped up a mammoth 15 points after scoring, mustering up an assist and bagging the player of the match award. Defender Dani Carvajal (€5.5m) was the second highest earner with 14 points due to a clean sheet and goal scored.
