EURO 2024 Fantasy Georgia Top Picks

In this article we take a look at the EURO 2024 Fantasy Georgia top picks. Here we touch upon the recent form of Georgia, how they achieved qualification, highlight their best picks, and anything else of relevance.

Our EURO 2024 Fantasy Georgia top picks could be crucial for managers. Knowing how a team has been performing recently can be helpful. But, knowing who the best picks from each team can be essential for the tournament ahead.

Prior to gaining Qualification Georgia had never made it to the EURO’s or a World Cup for that matter. In fact, in their latest World Cup Qualifiers they finished fourth in the Group and eight points off Sweden in second.

Georgia seem to be on the up though. During the recent Nations League they topped their Group and edged second place Bulgaria by seven points. Their finish confirmed promotion into League B for the new campaign ahead.

Although advancing to their first ever EURO’, things were not easy for Georgia. They finished their Group in fourth place after winning two, drawing two and losing four. There Georgia also scored 12 goals, netted a huge 18 goals and kept three clean sheets.

Georgia then beat Luxembourg 2-1 in the play-off semi-finals and Greece after penalties in the final to guarantee a spot in the EURO’.

EURO 2024 Fixtures

Georgia start off their new campaign against Türkiye who topped both their recent Nations League Group and their EURO Qualifying Group. However, in the three friendlies Türkiye have played they failed to win a single match.

Georgia then go onto play Czechia in Matchday 2. Czechia have been hit and miss over recent years – finishing rock bottom of their Nations League Group but then claiming second place in their EURO Qualifying Group. It is also worth highlighting that they have won all three of their last friendlies, scoring a huge 11 goals but conceding in each of them.

They then end their campaign against Portugal. Portugal will be their toughest opposition after winning 10 out of 10 matches in their Qualifying Group and racking up a huge 36 goals scored. They may also be a tough nut to crack defensively too after collecting a massive nine out of 10 clean sheets in the same period.

Top Picks – Guram Kashia

Georgia haven’t been great defensively and they have shown that in their recent Qualifiers. However, for those looking to take advantage of first two fixtures against Türkiye and Czechia then you may be considering a Georgia defensive asset.

€4m defenders appear to be at the top of managers shopping lists when it comes to building a squad. For that reason we have highlighted Guram Kashia (€4m). Although both of Solomon Kverkvelia and wing-back Irakli Azarov also come in at €4m, its the captain who has no doubts over his minutes.

As well as clean sheet potential and an enabling price-tag, Kashia netted twice for club last season, suggesting he can also be a threat. With ball recovery potential on top of that, you can’t go wrong with Kashia in a lot aspects.

Giorgi Chakvetadze

The Georgia attack offers something that no other team in the competition does. EURO Fantasy managers are constantly on the lookout for the cheapest starting players in the game, and in this case it comes in the form of €4.5m midfielder Giorgi Chakvetadze.

Giorgi Chakvetadze appears to be the only playing €4.5m midfielder in the game which makes him unique when compared to every other. This kind of price-tag can be extremely enabling when looking to fill your teams with as many premium players as possible.

The former Slovan player has proven himself in several different competitions, including his latest Europa Conference League campaign where he created four assists in eight matches. Fast forward to his 23/24 season at Championship Watford and he finished his campaign with one goal and three assists.

Giorgi Chakvetadze wasn’t short of output in the EURO Qualifiers either after producing one goal and three assists in eight matches.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

There are several factors as to why Georgia made it to their first ever EURO’ and one of them was Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (€7m). The Napoli man and in-game midfielder has been on the radar of Europe’ top clubs for some time now and it could be a matter of months before he moves on and reaches his potential.

In Serie A this season Kvaratskhelia notched up 11 goals and six assists. Although it wasn’t quite the 12 goals and 10 assists in the title winning season before that, it still shows how successful he can be when it comes to goal contributions.

Four goals and one assist in nine Qualifying matches cements his position as their most dangerous attackers going into the tournament and with set pieces and penalties at his disposal too, Kvaratskhelia breezes into our EURO 2024 Fantasy Georgia top picks.

One to Watch – Georges Mikautadze

Georgia offer some great value players and we come to another one with our next pick.

Finding cheap playing strikers with good early fixtures appears to be challenging. However, Georges Mikautadze comes in at a jaw-dropping €5m. Mikautadze has spent the last several seasons in Ligue 1 for Metz. In his recent season there he collected a cool 13 goals and one assist from just 20 starts.

Mikautadze also contributed three goals in the EURO Qualifying matches. What is interesting is that as well being his clubs main penalty taker he also has a hand in his national sides, adding to his attacking appeal.

At €5m, leading the Georgia attack, and having good fixtures makes Georges Mikautadze a player we should all consider, or at the very least, a player to watch.
