There are so many good options across the pitch for the first time in awhile. This means my team could likely change drastically pre-deadline!
In goal, Ryan Allsop has kept 17 clean sheets in 28 for the Blues this season, alongside making 47 saves, totalling 157 points. Against 24th-placed Shrewsbury Town (H) and 20th-placed Bristol Rovers (A), I’m expecting at least one, more likely two shutouts. However, I am slightly concerned he may not be tested enough. So, there could be points to reap elsewhere.
At the back, Mickey Demetriou is back in Crewe’s line-up? He’s a lock in my team then! The former Fantasy EFL top-scorer bagged 10 points on his return in GW33 and has two good home matches in store.
I also like Harrogate’s Anthony O’Connor. But, looking at the upside of differentials heading into the run-in, Jasper Moon could be a shrewd move. Owned by just 0.2% despite averaging 6.8 points, he’s in great form, without a blank in five games – their two home matches also look compelling.
Completing my defence, is the ever-steady pick of Wrexham’s Eoghan O’Connell. He has five double-digit hauls in six. I expect him to lead the Red Dragons scoring by the end of GW34, on 244 points currently.

In midfield, Blackpool’s Albie Morgan is the highest-averaging [active] midfielder with seven points, and is an all-round magnet when it comes to scoring. Four goals (+28), seven assists (+21) and 41 interceptions (+82), he’s banked 197 points in 28 games, and I expect him to continue his top form at Bloomfield Road.
Partnering him, Doncaster’s Luke Molyneux is in good form, with 12 goals, 10 assists, and six interceptions in 36 matches. His attacking returns across the previous four matches, coupled with two home games against underperforming opposition, suggest a high probability of points, aligning with his season-long demonstrated ceiling.
Up front, Birmingham’s Jay Stansfield completes my double-up, but it must be noted he will be changed if benched. The League One record signing returned to the Blues last week, signed off from England U21 duty awaiting “further assessments”.
Chris Davies is speaking to the media Friday afternoon, which should give a clearer indication. If he’s unavailable, there are plenty of options, including Wycombe’s Richard Kone, Bromley’s Michael Cheek and Peterborough’s Malik Mothersille.
With Club selections, I’ve strategically held onto my Birmingham picks, only using them twice so far, and the TGW announcement is fantastic news! I’m confident they’ll secure two wins this week.
Similarly, Wycombe, chasing Wrexham for an automatic spot, face Lincoln and Shrewsbury at Adams Park. With a strong home record (10 wins in 18 games), I’m predicting two wins for them as well. If both teams maximise their points, we could see a combined haul of 38.
