The Early Gameweek 9 Preview

Gameweek 9 preview

The dust hasn’t even settled on the current gameweek, but Fantasy Premier League are already looking ahead to Gameweek 9.

Manchester City

The shark team quite literally blew the fantasy football community away last weekend and we are now scrambling to get as many of their assets as we can into our squads for Gameweek 9.

With Sergio Aguero returning to full fitness following his car accident, he is also entering the foray for investment.

If I’m completely honest, I don’t think it matters which 3 from City you own, as long as you have three. By owning three, the disappointment is eased when one of them is rotated. I’d perhaps avoid the centre backs and Ederson, as Walker provides more attacking return. But, you HAVE to get 3 in your team as soon as possible.

Fixtures

FPL Champion has shared a fantastic fixture thread with the fantasy football community reviewing the short and long term choices ahead of Gameweek 9. He’s considered every team in turn and given his recommendations.

He’s also identified the teams to invest in and avoid, as well as highlighting some key players to focus transfers on.

Wildcards

FPL champions musings will help those managers with an active wildcard, including FFScout Az. Varun shares his potential wildcard team. James suggests another player we should consider if we have a wildcard in play. The Editor has his say too.

Spurs

Harry was the most captained player for Gameweek 8 and duly disappointed with another Wembley blank.

Ben Davies was another player who disappointed after missing out through illness.

Both have given fantasy managers something to think about. FPL Lamb has given his advice.
