I) Wilson

Scott from Fantasy Football Pundits has his eye on Ross Barkley after an excellent pre-season. It looks like he could be on penalties, as his new manager Frank Lampard moulds him into the role he used to play.

II) Tips

FPL Tips summarises all the key players from pre-season in his latest YouTube video. It’s no surprise to see Ross Barkley in there once more, among a striker with 9 goals for the exploits.

III) Andy

Andy put’s the Manchester City form midfielders to a poll. They’ve both chipped in with attacking returns already, but it’s Sterling who’s been playing out of position as a forward, who wins this popularity contest.

IV) Scout

Fantasy Football Scout have put together an awesome guide to pre-season. This comprehensive offering includes friendly analysis as well as a helpful summary of minutes played across these games.

V) Strategic

Considering the 2018/19 end of season form, Trent Alexander-Arnold lit up the Premier League. He finished strong, with assists galore coming in the opening few games. Is he one for your fantasy team this season?

VI) Fix

Fantasy Football Fix summarise the highest points scorers in the final 10 weeks of last season. Jamie Vardy and Sadio Mane top the chart, with Vardy a popular option for this coming season too.

VII) Planet

Planet FPL Podcast put this past season form to good use by compiling an affordable FPL squad for the season ahead. It’s a 3-5-2 formation, with a trio of Foxes, Toffees and Liverpool.

VIII) Andy

Andy from Let’s Talk FPL summarises the hype around pre-season form. An attacking return in a pre-season game, quickly accelerates a player to essential status in our FPL squads.

IX) General

The FPL General is not one to fall for that pre-season hype. It’s important to remember these are friendlies, generally against clubs who aren’t of Premier League quality.

X) Editor

The final game of pre-season is usually most telling, and in this handy Twitter thread, The Editor summarises all the key action from the final weekend. It’s well worth a read.

XI) Hub

Finally, I set out my 10 FPL takeaways from Sunday’s Community Shield. Raheem Sterling scored once more and there were some interesting team news and substitutions within the game.
