Community Team Reveal Gameweek 33 – FPL ElStatto

Each Gameweek brings an FPL community team reveal. As a result, that person gives insight into their transfers, captaincy and future plans.

Ahead of Gameweek 33 it’s the turn of FPL ElStatto to tell us what he is doing to his team.

Hi ElStatto and thanks for the team reveal. So how did Gameweek 32 go?

Fresh off the back of an unsuccessful Free Hit at the weekend, I’ve been bouncing around the 200k-to-250k mark for a few weeks. Back with my regular team, things have become a little messy, which will result in some braver plays over the next few weeks.

What does your defence look like?

I’m unsure if Jason Steele will keep playing for Brighton but, if he doesn’t, I’ll be going with double coverage of Chelsea and Newcastle’s defences. Neither’s backline has been solid recently but I’ll have to ride it out, given that Ben White faces Manchester City and Rico Henry is at Chelsea. It feels like the best option for this week.

Meanwhile, what about your midfield and attack?

My midfield is a little template with Kaoru Mitoma, Marcus Rashford and Bukayo Saka, although all are in good form so it’d be silly to remove any. I had earmarked a Bruno Fernandes sale given he’s played deeper recently but, with Double Gameweek 34 coming, he probably gets a bit longer.

Jack Grealish is my final midfield pick and I’m hoping his league form can continue. Given that Riyad Mahrez scored a hat-trick in Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final, I’m nervous about Phil Foden coming in for Grealish.

And I’m sticking with my two big guns up top. Spurs are a mess at the moment but Harry Kane is still scoring.

Finally, what about captaincy?

I’m currently on Erling Haaland. Their game versus Arsenal is huge in the title run-in and Haaland can score against anyone. Also, Arsenal are missing William Saliba and conceded three against Southampton without him. Hopefully it’ll be an entertaining goal-fest where Haaland reaps the benefit.

Good luck and thank you for the team reveal!
