Community Team Reveal Gameweek 14 – FPL Rabbi

Each Gameweek brings an FPL community team reveal. As a result, that person gives insight into their transfers, captaincy and future plans.

Ahead of Gameweek 14, it’s the turn of FPL Rabbi to tell us what he is doing to his team.

Hi FPL Rabbi and thanks for the team reveal. So how did Gameweek 13 go?

The Gameweek 13 Wildcard really couldn’t have gone much worse. I’ve always had a bit of a jinx when it comes to wildcards (see the tweet below) and this time was no different. It was just captain Erling Haaland’s haul, alongside ten blanks!

Conceding in stoppage time reduced Kepa down to three points, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Phil Foden were only named on the bench, Darwin Nunez wasn’t passed fit and, of course, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli totalled half of team-mate Ben White’s return – my second sub. There’s not much I can do apart from laughing and taking it on the chin.

What does your defence look like?

Defence is much improved (on paper at least) from pre-Wildcard, with White and Kieran Trippier the only survivors. There is Kepa in goal, with Alexander-Arnold, Joao Cancelo and the bench fodder of Hugo Bueno, as I’ll only play three-at-the-back most weeks. Not this time though, as White is at home to Nottingham Forest and will also start.

Meanwhile, what about your midfield and attack?

Again, midfield and attack now look much better. Nunez looks to be fit, even with his minutes being managed, whilst Saka and Martinelli also face Forest. Also in my XI is Eberechi Eze versus Southampton, ahead of West Ham pair Jarrod Bowen and Gianluca Scamaca. They have an away trip to Manchester United but will return to the side for Crystal Palace (H) and Leicester (H).

So what are your transfer plans for Gameweek 14 and beyond?

At the moment, I don’t have any transfers planned for Gameweek 14 so soon after using the Wildcard. Only a major injury could probably change that thinking.

Finally, what about captaincy?

Captaincy is, of course, on Haaland. He should be fit and, if not, vice-captaincy will either be on Nunez or Saka for their enticing home matches.

Good luck and thank you for the team reveal!
