Community Team Reveal Gameweek 13 – FPL ElStatto
Each Gameweek brings an FPL community team reveal. As a result, that person gives insight into their transfers, captaincy and future plans.
Ahead of Gameweek 13 it’s the turn of FPL ElStatto to tell us what he is doing to his team.
Hi ElStatto and thanks for the team reveal. So how did Gameweek 12 go?
Better than expected, I went into the week with only ten players and took a four-point hit but emerged with a net 49 points. It’s a small green arrow up to 134k.
What does your defence look like?
I’m currently on a 3-4-3 formation with Kieran Trippier, Joao Cancelo and Joe Gomez. The latter is a short-term move covering good fixtures, Trippier is just a gift this season and we all know about Cancelo.
Meanwhile, what about your midfield and attack?
My attack has been settled since Gameweek 9 with Erling Haaland, Ivan Toney and Aleksandar Mitrovic. I’m happy to get to the World Cup with them before considering my options. It brings a steady return of goals and penalty-taking, so hopefully they’ll continue to be the pick of all forwards.
In midfield, I’m currently on Mo Salah, Gabriel Martinelli, Phil Foden and Wilfried Zaha. I’ve taken another hit to bring in Foden, having previously been on Kevin De Bruyne before moving him to Salah. I was planning to reverse that transfer this week but, with Liverpool about to face Nottingham Forest and Leeds, there have got to be points in those games, right?
Martinelli and Zaha just keep ticking over nicely and I’m happy to let them continue.
So what are your transfer plans for Gameweek 13 and beyond?
I’ve already made my moves today, spending points to sell James Maddison and Kalidou Koulibaly for Foden and Gomez. With the World Cup Wildcard just four weeks away, all moves are short-term. So, barring any injuries or suspensions, I hope to roll my Gameweek 14 transfer to enable two for Gameweek 15, where I can address the Liverpool players facing Spurs.
Finally, what about captaincy?
Keep it simple, Haaland. In normal times, Salah versus Forest would be an outstanding pick but Haaland isn’t normal and I’ll continue to captain him right through up to the break.
