Goalkeepers
Chelsea appear to be favourites for their upcoming match, so backing them from a defensive perspective makes sense. One of the ways in which we can do that is via Robert Sanchez (€5.3m).
Four clean sheets in five matches makes PSG the best current defence in the competition. Between the sticks for them is Gianluigi Donnarumma (€5.7m).
Defenders
Backing just Sanchez in goal may not be enough to benefit from a Chelsea clean sheet, so adding Tosin Adarabioyo (€4.9m) and Marc Cucurella (€5.8m) should solve that. Cucurella has been impressive offensively, whilst Tosin is Chelsea’ most reliable centre-back for gametime heading into the game due to injury and suspension elsewhere.
Real Madrid have been far from sound defensively, but they thrive in the latter stages of competitions. With that in mind, and taking into account their attacking threat, both Fran Garcia (€4.9m) and Trent Alexander-Arnold make the cut.
Completing the defence is Achraf Hakimi (€6.5m). At this point, avoiding the Moroccan after hitting three consecutive attacking returns on the bounce could be damaging to both rank and mini-league position.
Midfielders
The Chelsea attack could be one of the most convincing this week. As well as netting 12 goals so far, the Blues also face a side they should beat. Chelsea’ standout midfield picks are penalty taker Cole Palmer (€9.6m) and Pedro Neto (€6.5m). Both have impressed during the Club World Cup.
The match between PSG and Real Madrid could go either way, and making sure we have the best options in the game will be key. In terms of the European Champions, it’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (€9.2m) and Ousmane Dembele (€10m) who have been the French sides most consistent attackers for some time now.
You can’t rule out Real Madrid either. Their midfield options are much less convincing than that of PSG, but the lack of options elsewhere makes them a good side to look to. Whilst Jude Bellingham is capable of wonderful things, it’s Arda Guler (€6.5m) who has stood out under new management.
Forwards
With Liam Delap suspended, likely to lead the line for Chelsea is Nicolas Jackson (€7.4m). Jackson was crucial for the Chelsea attack during their most recent Premier League campaign and they will look to him once more.
Most of the best forward options available this week play for Real Madrid. Whilst it could be tough to leave out Kylian Mbappe (€11m), Vinicius Junior (€11m) and Gonzalo Garcia (€5.1m) have been much more convincing in regards to gametime.
