Club World Cup Fantasy 2025: Pachuca Best Picks, Predicted Line-up and Team Overview

Club World Fantasy 2025 is here! Continuing with our team previews, we take a look at the Pachuca best picks, predicted line-up and team overview.
Knowing how a team could line-up and their best assets could be absolutely key for success in Club World Cup Fantasy.
Team Overview

Pachuca qualified for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup by winning the 2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup. They secured their spot with a dominant 3–0 victory over Columbus Crew in the final, which was held at their home ground, Estadio Hidalgo. This win marked Pachuca’s sixth continental title and earned them a place in the expanded 32-team tournament as CONCACAF’s top club.
There was some early uncertainty around their qualification due to Pachuca’s shared ownership with Club León, another Mexican club that had also earned a place. FIFA ultimately resolved the issue by excluding León, confirming that Pachuca would be the sole representative from that ownership group.
In terms of their performances, things have been far from good. The Mexican side finished 11th in their 23/24 domestic league campaign, then followed that up with 16th place in the most recent season.
Their end of season form was as inconsistent as their season – winning two, losing two and drawing two of their previous six matches. During that time they scored just four goals, conceded six goals and kept two clean sheets.
Group and Fixtures
Pachuca join Real Madrid C. F. (ESP) Al-Hilal (KSA) and FC Salzburg (AUT) in Group H.

Their schedule is as follows:
- Matchday 1 – RB Salzburg
- Matchday 2 – Real Madrid
- Matchday 3 – Al-Hilal
Pachuca have a solid chance at picking up a good result against Salzburg. The game could well go either way, so expect anything.
Real Madrid are heavy favourites against Pachuca in Matchday 2. The Mexican side are expected to lose that match comfortably.
They then heady into Matchday 3 as slight underdogs against Al-Hilal. Again though, this is another match that could well go either way.

Top Picks
Pachuca have been inconsistent, but they do have potential in at least two of their three upcoming matches.
Because of the above, Club World Cup Fantasy managers may show some interest in their defensive assets. One of the cheapest routes into their defence is full-back Jorge Berlanga (€4m). Berlanga may also suffer rotation though so there is some risk.
The most reliable way into the Pachuca backline could be centre-back Eduardo Bauermann (4.9m). But, with just one goal and one assist this season, he also lacks offensive threat. He does however have less than 5% ownership, so meets the scouting bonus criteria.

In attack, penalty taker and forward Salomón Rondón (€6m) could be a viable pick. Still going strong at 35-years-old, The Venezuelan has racked up 10 goals and three assists in 20 Liga MX matches thus far. He also leads the Pachuca frontline.
There does seems to be a lack of convincing options in the Pachuca attack in general. One more player we could look to is Oussama Idrissi (€6m). Idrissa has bagged one goal and six assists in his opening 19 league matches.
There we have it, our Pachuca Best Picks, Predicted Line-up and Team Overview. Will you be picking any of their players?
